Great car!
As with my previous Toyota, this car is extremely reliable. It gets amazing fuel economy (40 MPG), and it has been cross county many times. It has good pick-up and cruises at highway speeds easily. I maintain it properly, and the only thing that has broken was the water pump. Understandable though, water pumps give out. Her seating is very comfy and love how the back seats fold down for a roomy cargo area. I worked on the other side of the country for five summers, and there was plenty of room for all my stuff! Found that if I used the boxes that gallon milk comes in (from the grocery), I could stack them in there for a ton of storage! I call her my Mattie Mae because she is part of the family!

Excellent and a trooper
The Toyota Matrix is an excellent and sturdy car. I have owned it for five years, purchasing it in 2013 when it was six years old and had about 124,000 miles on it. It now has over 170,000 miles on it and is still running well. I have it serviced regularly and have purchased new tires for it once. I has never had any problems since I have owned it, and I have driven in blizzards, heavy rain and for long road trips, commuting, etc. It is not fancy, and the base model has manual mirrors. The hatchback is spacious and great for hauling things back and forth from college as well as fit your friends in it for carpools. The cloth interior is easy to vacuum and clean, and it is just a sturdy, well-rounded vehicle. I got it at a good price, and it will hopefully last a long time. It has a good amount of power but nothing super great. It's a good vehicle for everyday use and will do what you ask of it. It might not be as comfortable to drive or be in for a taller individual, but as a shorter person, I have always been comfortable, and the customization offered by the manually adjustable seat and steering wheel have always met my needs.

Most reliable car I have ever had.
My 2007 Toyota Matrix has been the best car I have ever owned, and I am now committed to the brand because of this. My car has over 120,000 miles on it, and thus far, has never needed any serious repairs. I have only had to do regular maintenance repairs like brake pad replacements and oil changes. I have had to make a few minor repairs such as sealing up some tubing from the A/C with silicone because it was leaking, but it has been an extremely low cost car to own and has never let me down. I love the design of the car especially the hatchback. I like that the back of the rear seats. When you lay down the seats, you have a large flat space to put things. I used to carry my bike in it easily, and now I can fit a child's wheelchair and stroller in the back without laying down the seats.
