Great car
Don't listen to all the negativity. Yes, VWs have been the butt of many jokes and will be going through trials and facing several lawsuits. I used this time to check prices. Since I was already in the market for a new car, I had an idea of what this car already cost. However, after the emissions scandal was made public, the prices of these cars dropped fairly significantly (~5%). I was intrigued to learn this. Since I was purchasing a non-diesel car, I figured I was safe - and I was right. This car is great. After a test drive and a statement from the state saying that this car was good to go, I purchased the car at an amazing price. I haven't looked back either. It's sporty, it's fast, and it makes me feel great. The car rides as loud or quiet based on how I am driving. It gets great gas mileage and is safe. Although VWs typically have great resell values, I could see this being an issue years down the road. However, the money I saved off the purchase price will more than compensate the end cost. I am very happy that I bought this car.

Ecofriendly but not quite dependable.
The pros about this Volkswagen E-golf is that it's eco friendly, and it runs on full electric so you save a lot of money on gas. Also, I would like to state that this car is actually 2017 and not 2016, but there were no other options available. Since it's quite a new car, it has almost all the new tech inside such as a touchscreen with Bluetooth wireless connection and a back-up camera. The cons of this vehicle is that because it only runs on full electric, you can't go to far places and is only a city car, so it can be inconvenient sometimes. Although, I am a student, and there are electric charging stations available at school so it would take approximately four hours to charge fully; meaning when I'm out of class, it'll be completely charged. Although, if I wasn't on campus and I had to wait for my car to full charge, it can be so inconvenient. I could've spent my four hours completely doing other work rather than waiting for my car to charge.
