The new Touareg SUV is utility made luxurious. Filled with the finer things in life, it also has the power, versatility, and cargo space for real life. Driver Assistance features can help you prepare for and respond to the unpredictable nature of the road. Which all adds up to giving you a little more confidence on every drive. The Touareg combines V6 performance with elegant style, and then brings it all together inside a refined, well-equipped interior.

Comfort, durability, and cost of repairs. My Touareg is by far the most comfortable car I have ever owned. It feels like the seat was made for me. I love the heated seats that help with my back pain. The leather is quality and has help up over the life of the car, the leather still looks new. I love how smart this car is. Every time it needs anything at all, it just pops up on the dash. It seriously saved me when I got a flat tire, as soon as my tire punctured it came up on my dash, flat tire! It tells me every time it needs air in any of my tires and tells me which tire it is. When any light goes out on the vehicle it tells me, how thankful I am to know when a break light is out.
Story
The day I bought my car was pretty memorable. I live in Wisconsin, and the car was two hours north of me. I didn't bother to check the weather before I left to go get the car. It started snowing. It ended up being a good storm, dumped just shy of a foot of snow, covering my drive home from the dealership. I was so scared driving a new vehicle home in the storm, but the comfort of car and amazi... (more)
Pros
This car is super safe, which makes me more comfortable when driving. It hold up well over time. All the maintenance I have had to do has been normal, nothing has broken out of the ordinary. I have never had a problem with the electrical. The window and locks have always functioned properly, as well as the radio. The comfort is defiantly my favorite part of this car. The seats are amazing. The trim on the inside is beautiful, black leather, and black shinny dashboard. Just a beautiful vehicle, inside and out.
Cons
I have had to do some maintenance over time. All in a timely fashion, thanks to my car telling me what's wrong. My biggest con is that maintenance is really expensive. New breaks at the dealer, $1,500. Even lightbulbs are pricy and complicated to fix. It also has to go to the dealership for everything. Even gas is expensive for this car, as it only takes premium.

Our Touareg is an exceptional vehicle in regards to both performance and safety. Purchased by us as new parents for its optimal safety features (e.g. Multiple point impact air bags and latch hooks). Overall it has performed like a new car since we purchased it with minor issues. As long as it is taken care of, it will take care of you and your family.
Story
This car took a family of four through the Grand Teton Mountains while towing a trailer without any problems. We not only were able to enjoy a beautiful ride through an amazing National Park, but the Touareg (or "The Egg" as we nicknamed it) handled those curvaceous mountain roads with the precision expected from VW.
Pros
Safety: multiple air bags; multiple sensors; three point latch system for car seats; awesome roadside safety kit with spare tire self inflation
Cons
Only takes Premium gas - can be costly when gas prices are out of control;
