When I bought my 1999 Volkswagen Passat V6 it was used with 88 thousands miles. It ran great and was a one owner, who must have kept it maintained properly. I needed a car with space for my family that still looked nice and could get up and go. The interior is a nice beige leather with black and mock wood trim. It really does feel great to have those heated leather seats during the fall and winter. The car also came with a stock six disk CD changer and am/FM stereo that sounds pretty dang good. As for the exterior the car is beautiful forest green that really pops out on the Volkswagen Passat's smooth lines. I really love the way this thing looks! The powerful V6 engine really does move surprisingly fast for my model which is an automatic transmission. When the automatic transmission s... (more)
Story
I had a great trip to the Oregon coast in my Passat. I loved the way it hugged the road through all the curves. I think I almost enjoyed the drive as much as the hotel there at Cannon Beach.
Pros
The car looks good. The Passat is fast. It has nice interior. Heated seats. Large trunk space.
Cons
V6 engine's consume gas at a higher rate than 4 cylinder's. Some maintenance requires special tools and everything else will need metric system tools.

The car was a great second car. It was a manual and the shifting was smooth. I could quickly go from 1st to 3rd with no problems. What I love most is that the Passat looked like a business type care for example BMW at a lower cost. The outside was clean and it was a nice midnight blue. The car was quick and could fit 4 of my friends just fine. If I was in traffic you would not fill the stick, throttle like some cars do.
Story
I remember racing my buddy, we were not doing anything to crazy but he had a Nissan 350Z twin turbo, and I would brag in sarcastic way that I had a turbo too. He had the faster HP. We started and my car was winning and he gave me a "head start" and then he pushed the pedal down and one of the turbos went out and cost him a bunch of money to fix. I thought it was hilarious on the inside even t... (more)
Pros
A nice look to the car with turbo, my girlfriend at the time looked good in it and she loved the turbo option. I impressed her for the most part on our first date. The car was smooth and I loved the dark blue color, I had factory rims but they still looked stylish. The interior had a nice gray color.
Cons
Not a lot of cons, but I did not like the interior shape of the car. I did buy it used but it was tore up a little bit and was not worth fixing. The seats were a little uncomfortable but I am a bigger guy.

This car has everything that I need and more in a dream car. It's not perfect by any means but it has been reliable and always gotten me to point a and b without any problems whatsoever. I haven't had any serious issues with it since the day that I first purchased it. I was recommended this car by a friend of mine and it hasn't disappointed me whatsoever. I think that it is one of the best, if not the very best car that I have ever owned. I would probably recommend it to my friends if they are looking for something that is dependable and reliable. It is comfortable and I don't feel like I am at risk when I am driving it. I think that it the safest that I have ever felt in a vehicle and it provides a nice driving experience. It is a good car for road trips and there is plenty of roo... (more)
Story
Taking a road trip to a city nearby.
Pros
My favorite things about the car is it's comfort and how safe I feel.
Cons
The only thing that could be better is maybe the mileage - but even that isn't something to complain about!
