Fuel efficient but not environmentally friendly.
I liked this car from the moment I saw it because it was good looking, and the engine has a lot of spunk to it. Before buying, my husband and I did extensive research about the vehicle. I was fascinated by how VW rolls the car in the paint and charged it with electricity, and that this was why they were able to give a longer warranty for the paint than most brands of cars. The craftsmanship of the car was good. It was built tough and durable, not cheap with a lot of plastic pieces like most cars we had owned previously. One example was a video of a man sitting on top of the open car door, and the VW Passat door hinges did not bend or sag like the Toyota Prius did. One of the big selling points for us was the fuel economy of 40 miles per gallon or more and that the car was supposed to be so environmentally safe. You could wrap your mouth around the tail pipe and not get carbon monoxide poisoning—especially since we had a friend that died from a carbon monoxide poisoning from a car running in the garage. What I dislike is that the company falsely advertised these cars, and they were not environmentally friendly at all. They put off more than 40 times the allowed amount of pollutants. I also disliked that the car was diesel because the fuel price was higher and so were maintenance cost for the vehicle.

Love it. Amazing
One of the first things I noticed when I first test drove the car is how quiet, yet powerful, the engine is. I could listen to music on the freeway and not have to turn up the volume. In addition, the self-opening trunk is so helpful when you're shopping and have your hands full and can't open the trunk. One thing I do not like is the digital display of the mileage for a trip. It is hard to figure out. I do not know how to reset the mileage counter. Also, the brakes are just a little bit too sensitive or my taste. The remaining miles on a tank is also very inaccurate. It can jump down by 20 -30 miles in available gas when you maybe only drove 10. And it can also swing the other way, depending on if you're driving on the freeway or not.
