This is a great car I drove it for around 140000 miles (I don´t have it anymore). I love its performance, the quality of it especially its interior design on the front it is really comfortable. I like the driving so I have mostly positive things to say about this car. It is a car you can rely on that wont give you any problems if you treat it right. The fuel economy is one of the down sides of this car, I've had cars with a better autonomy although it was still an economical car, the back seats are a little uncomfortable they have little space. The car comes with a great quality speakers system or at least that's all I need from a sound system. Overall its a great car, it has many more advantages than disadvantages I would recommend it to anyone that wants a great performing car at the... (more)
Story
I was involved in a street race once. I thought that I would get last because of the different cars that were competing that day but my Jetta did fairly good and surprised me.
Pros
Nice car, nice to drive it. Has great stability, engine is superb, very good quality, Volkswagen Brand, Reliable, great style, nice seats, overall comfortable, great interior design.
Cons
It isn't very economical, I've had cars that consume less gas than this one, and the back seat area could be more comfortable.

I really like this vehicle. I drive it every day. It has great acceleration power accompanied with great gas mileage, whether in town or on the freeway. The car is quite sturdily made as compared to other newer cars I have owned.
Story
We went on a family trip and took this car up in the mountain. We have a propensity for taking cars where we really shouldn't be taking them and for some reason, we decided to take this one as well. I was worried, considering it was literally brand new, but it made it all the way up the dirt road, bumps and all. We got to the place we were going to go fishing and had a blast.
Pros
My favorite thing about this vehicle is that my husband and I decided to go with the manual transmission. It just makes driving so much more fun. This car has a fairly decent amount of power which makes accelerating enough to merge onto the freeway a breeze. It has great steering, which really helps me because I am not a fan of any sort of parking. With previous vehicles I have owned, I was always sure to park way in the back of any parking lot just so I could do as horrible of a parking job as I wanted without having to worry about making other people mad or having my doors dinged up from... Cons
The only complaint that I have about this vehicle is that the front seats are a little bit small and there is no comfortable place to rest your arms when you are going on a long drive. Other vehicles I have driven have a center console that is a little higher up and provides a good arm rest for long trips.

I'll start with the one thing that I look forward to the VW engineers to improve. It can get noisy when driving. If I used the Bluetooth to call when driving, people have a hard time hearing me or there is a lot of back noise. It's easy to tune out if you're listening to music or the news, but on the types of trips that I take, sometimes, you just don't want to hear anything. After that, it handles wonderfully on the long trips I need to make. I am able to zip through traffic with great maneuverability and still park where ever I want (station wagon, too) on the street. It's an understated car and that's what keeps me and it out of trouble. Living in a city, no one bothers it or looks twice. I take trips to visit family who live about 3hrs away and it gets me there and back on one t... (more)
Story
Sleeping in the back of the station wagon when a camping trip got rained out! My sister and I finished a day of rock climbing and were just preparing to settle down for the night when the rain starts coming down and our beat up tent starts taking in the water. We scramble into the car and spend the rest of the night laughing and alternating between rolling up the window or leaving then down.
Pros
-Able to plug my iPhone directly into the car -able to put down the back seats to have a flat surface to slid tons of material directly into the car -can't beat the gas mileage, with diesel being the price it is these days that it makes it even better
