The car is great. It has a great, sturdy build. The driving is smooth and gas mileage is some of the best I've ever had. The paint rarely gets dirty enough for it to show and the interior is simply beautiful. The trunk space might be a little small for some, but honestly unless you're planning on shoving an apartment's worth of furniture in it, you should be fine for most common things. One thing I don't like is the headlights. They don't seem very bright and have had to replace them with better alternatives already. The driving is smooth enough, just don't try to do any off road with it. Also, once dirt or sand gets inside, it's a hassle to clean out. I haven't had to get it serviced yet, so that's a good sign. I especially love the on-board navigation and radio. It has a touchscreen ... (more)
Story
Apparently my car looks like others, so often times I'll get honked at as someone passes by, presumably because they think I'm someone they know. I suppose my tinted windows don't help the situation.
Pros
The build, the on board navigation, and gas mileage.
Cons
The headlights and trunk leave something to be desired.

I purchased this Jetta "used" although it had only 6,600 miles and used to be a dealership display model. It has all the bells and whistles (touchscreen console/ GPS, Fender audio system, Monster mats, heated seats, anti-theft system, to name a few) and I feel like I'm driving in luxury. I consistently get between 29-36 miles per gallon with everyday driving, but the acceleration is great when I floor it.
Story
My family and I took the Jetta on a vacation from Atlanta to Savannah last year, and had so much room for our things and were still able to stretch out in the passenger seat.
Pros
What first drew me to this car, and what I constantly get compliments about, is the look of the interior. The two-tone black and gold upholstery with silver trim looks super sleek. After driving it for one year, I'm loving the consistently good gas mileage and the ability to control the up- and downshifting with the "slapstick" feature (sorry, I don't know what it is actually called!) There is plenty of room for my one year old's car seat, and my husband's bike in the trunk to boot.
Cons
I have not had much trouble with the car at all. There is a mystery beep that sounds sometimes when I'm getting out of it, that I can't figure out what is caused by, but other than that it is a joy to ride on a daily basis.
