Sturdy, Well-built, and long-lasting
We bought our Jetta in 2010 suddenly after our VW Beetle was totaled in an accident. I've had it over five years now, and it's been a very good car. We just drove it on a 3000 mile road trip through the Southwest, and it never gave us problems. It uses diesel, and the fuel economy was great. It's also quite comfortable. We opted for heated seats - I think that was an option, not factory, and the seats are leather. The heating is wonderful, and I don't think I could ever get another car without them. The leather has cracked a little bit around the edges, but it's not a big deal to us. Now, ours is dark blue. There are a LOT of dark blue four door cars in our neighborhood, and a good portion of them are newish VWs. Sometimes it's difficult to find our car in the lot. We also have a remote lock, and I've heard there are ways to break into cars that have those type of locks. That concerns me a little bit. One special thing about this particular car is the size of the trunk. I'm an artist, and I often have to move a dozen or so fairly large paintings from home to a show. The back seats flip down, and the trunk itself is wide enough and high enough that I can place them all in there with no trouble.

Jet around with Jetta
I have put around 70,000 miles on my 2010 Jetta and it still drives solidly as it did the first day. This car has great power. When I need to pick up speed to blow pass any car, I just put my foot on the gas pedal and it flies. The car is very responsive to steering. Suspension allows me to corner sharp turn with ease. It is very well built and insulated that I don't hear any road noise on highway. The interior materials is of high quality and wears well. I did not choose an upgrade, but the standard package held up quite well over time. The stereo system that comes standard sounds fantastic. It has great antenna because I My power sunroof and windows are working well today, just as it did the first day. What I also like about the car is its good reputation. Until the VW scandal came along, I was looking forward to recover much of the value in my Jetta when I eventually get around to return it. However, this dream is probably dead because of the scandal. I guess I will have to keep it for longer so people can forget about the cheating scandal.
