2010 Volkswagen Jetta OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Very Happy
I very much like the vehicle. I purchased the vehicle used wit 80,000 miles on it when it was 1 year and 4 months old. I have since added another 40,000 miles with no major problems. As the vehicle was purchased with higher mileage it was not able to be a "certified" used vehicle so I purchased a third party warranty. I only had to use the warranty once when an oxygen sensor went bad. I have received two recalls on the vehicle. One was a reimbursement only if expenses had incurred for an issue that I honestly can't remember what it was because I didn't have the problem. Second was a replacement for the fuel fill so that people couldn't put a gasoline nozzle in to fill it up. An issue that more a issue with consumers and not the product. I think the overall quality of the interior is nice. I haven't had any problems with any components inside. The only issue is there are some minor tears developing in the driver's seat from the many times entering and exiting the vehicle. It is, however, still very comfortable and not sagging. The exterior is still clean and shiny with regular washing and only occasional waxing. I am very happy with the vehicle.

Overall it's a good car, but cheaply made.
I thought the 2010 Jetta was a practical choice due to the gas mileage, the sleek look and the compact size. As far as performance it is great. I have no problems with it. However, the body of the car, the options and the way the interior is designed I am not particularly happy with. I have replaced 2 rims which have gotten bent by hitting potholes at a low speed. Some options which were becoming standard in cars in 2010 was not included in this car. My prior car which was 7 years old had functioning buttons on the steering wheel which controlled the radio, I had a dimming rearview mirror and digital fuel gauge which gave me a reading of how many miles I could drive before I ran out of gas. This car was a 2003 and it had more standard options than my brand new Jetta. My Jetta also did not have satellite radio and the engine was a V5. There were other models that offered some of the options that I wanted but you also got some package deal which gave you a diesel engine, sunroof, navigator, leather seats and a rear spoiler but it added an additional 10,000 on to the price. If I were to pay that amount I would have been almost paying the price for an Audi. In that case I may as well get the more attractive option with the Audi. So I bought the car and paid it off. It serves it's function. It gets me from point A to point B. Nothing more, nothing less. I figure that is the most important thing. My car is almost 8 years old and it still starts up just like it did when I drove it off the lot. So overall, I have no complaints about the performance. It turns over, it stops, the gas mileage is excellent. I may be a little slow as far as horse power is concerned, but I don't need to drive faster anyway.

Jet around with Jetta
I have put around 70,000 miles on my 2010 Jetta and it still drives solidly as it did the first day. This car has great power. When I need to pick up speed to blow pass any car, I just put my foot on the gas pedal and it flies. The car is very responsive to steering. Suspension allows me to corner sharp turn with ease. It is very well built and insulated that I don't hear any road noise on highway. The interior materials is of high quality and wears well. I did not choose an upgrade, but the standard package held up quite well over time. The stereo system that comes standard sounds fantastic. It has great antenna because I My power sunroof and windows are working well today, just as it did the first day.
What I also like about the car is its good reputation. Until the VW scandal came along, I was looking forward to recover much of the value in my Jetta when I eventually get around to return it. However, this dream is probably dead because of the scandal. I guess I will have to keep it for longer so people can forget about the cheating scandal.
