2006 Chrysler Pacifica - Nice, but not what I like.

I think the Chrysler Pacifica is a very sleek car. I love the third row seating and how roomy it is inside. The car is a strong build and it is very nice looking on the outside. Driving the car is another story. I feel that I am in a spaceship when I drive it. When I sit in the drivers seat, I feel like the car swallows me. I call it a spaceship because I sit so low in it and everything is above me. The dashboard is hard to look over. I put the seat up as far as I can, but it is still not comfortable driving it. I am 5'5 so it isn't like I am too short. Driving the car is a great smooth drive and I like how it handles. I haven't had many problems with it at all so I like how it is made and it is very reliable. The Pacifica is a bigger car with three rows of seats but the gas mileage is... (more)
Story
We took it to Florida in the middle of a really bad storm. We had to hide under an underpass for a good 45 minutes. The car made us feel safe and the kids had plenty of room to keep to their own areas.
Pros
Dual heater/cooling where each person controls their own. Rear passenger settings. Roominess. Bucket seats. Gas mileage.
Cons
Sit very low in it and everything is higher than me.

After my last car died, we didn't really know where to go, and after some deliberation, my wife and I settled on the Pacifica, which turned out to be one of the best choices ever. The car is very roomy and has floored down seats, so we can fit lots of things inside or even up to 6 full grown adults comfortably. It really is a wonderful car for an active family lifestyle because on numerous occasions we have had to drive a bunch of screaming kids to little league practice and they all can fit in the Pacifica with no issues.
Story
Having to take my daughter and her entire little league team out for pizza after they won the championship. They were all singing along to Hungry Like the Wolf on the way to Pizza Hut. it was a fun night.
Pros
The room is clearly the best feature, but I also like the fuel usage. It goes for nearly 300 miles on a full tank and tells you how much you have or don't have which is a real plus because it does away with the guess work. The satellite radio was easy to get a subscription and is a definite check in the positive column because it came preinstalled. The hatch is also pretty sweet because it has plenty of room for groceries or soil or just about anything we can fit inside.
Cons
The biggest one I can think of is the constant battle against rust. Also the headlights and tail lights are a real pain to replace and also seem to go out way more often than any other car I've ever owned. Any other complaints I have are pretty light by comparison to the pros.
