Durham, NC Driving Tips
Traffic isn't too bad except during rush hour and in the morning when people are going to school/work. Generally, it's pretty enjoyable and traffic tends to flow generally well. Just pay attention to signs and streets. Driving in center of the city can be a little tricky if you're not paying attenti

Once I know the car I want, I typically do a fair amount of research about the price I should be paying and the deals that other people got in my area if that information is available. I don't really have a favorite car dealer. I go to the one that's willing to sell me the car I want for the price I

I don't mind driving, but it can be a chore sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I love having a car and the freedom that comes with it. I like being able to conveniently go from point A to point B in a timely manner and the benefits a car brings, but driving can be pretty annoying sometimes. One of the b

iggest problems is I feel like stoplights are often not synced up very well, even on main roads that are really busy. It seems like there's much more stopping and going than necessary. Sometimes I just want to go somewhere and I feel like it takes a lot longer than it does because I hit like every stoplight.

Driving in Durham, North Carolina has its ups and downs. What I like most about this city is that you can get almost anywhere multiple ways. It is moderately easy to get back on the right track if you take a wrong turn due to minimal one way streets.

I would enjoy all drivers to avoid downtown city streets, particularly the Downtown Loop, Main Street and Mangum Streets during the 4-6pm timeframe. With all the construction is very congested.

I really enjoy driving late at night, particularly on the highways. For example, I can cover more ground on Highway 40 and 147 (which always me to move from the Northern part of the city to the Southern part of the city) in record time. I can also enjoy some of the overhead bridges and their lights

You can move from the Central/Northern part of the city to the Southern part of the city in a relatively reasonable time period. You also go through some urban areas but also areas that are more suburban.
