2005 Mazda Mazda3 - Reliable, dependent, functional
I like that it was reliable. The only hassle was that the tire suspension kept breaking for some odd reason. I had to get it fixed multiple times, and despite being gentle with driving, it continued to keep breaking. The car's fuel economy was poor for how small of a car it was. The best part of the car was that it kept on trucking regardless. The forward wheel drive was good in the snow, even though it was a lighter car. The handling was top-notch for its price. It really handled well, and I did not even have any extra modifications added to it. The car aged appropriately. There were signs of rust approximately 150,000 miles in which is normal for a car. I had multiple accidents in the car a few times, and I felt safe in it despite its small size. I had to replace the Freon in the A/C... (more)

I had multiple accidents in the car a few times, and I felt safe in it despite its small size. I had to replace the Freon in the A/C once thus far, which is appropriate for a car this age. The power windows had a weird malfunction recently where the driver's window needed to have the passenger window engaged in order for the driver's window to work. This car all in all is a car that is perfect for a low-budget. It's reliable and functional despite its small caveats in its suspension.
I was able to make donuts in the snow. I really liked drifting with it in the snow and the handling in the winter.

This little beast was super reliable. Never once did I have it break down on me except for when the battery gave out. To be fair though, the battery needed to be replaced each time it broke down as it was a 5+ years each time that my car battery died, which is longer than normal life expectancy for a battery. Otherwise, this car always started on time and had no issues. In the coldest days of winters, sometimes the car would sound kind of weak starting up, but from my understanding this was normal from cars in this weather. The previous owner gave me this car in poor condition with multiple scratches on the exterior, but its performance has been great. The handling is definitely top notch. I have not driven many other small cars, but it's a lot of fun to drive around. I feel completely save driving in the snow and taking corners fast. This car really is fun to drive while being reliable at the same time.
The suspension kept breaking for some odd reason. I thought it was originally my aggressive driving, but I noticed that the suspension from the wheels continued to break. I thought it might have been something that my mechanic was doing wrong so I changed mechanics, but my two mechanics continued to fix the same problem with it continuing to occur. I no longer have my mechanics work on this problem anymore as continues to reoccur frequently. This vehicle's miles per gallon is extremely low for how light and small of a car it is. I no longer have my mechanics work on this problem anymore as continues to reoccur frequently. This vehicle's miles per gallon is extremely low for how light and small of a car it is. I average approximately 22 in the city and 28 on the highway, which is extremely low. Another con is that it lacks some horsepower stock. This car, despite being light, has sub-200 HP. I have tested this car from 0-60, and it took an eternity at 13.4 seconds. Another con is that this car is extremely loud. Perhaps its due to the cheap price tag, but this car feels kind of like a toy compared to other cars. The doors don't feel sturdy when you open or close them, and every bump and sound can be heard. This car's cons maybe attributed to the price tag, but I would have expected more MPG and a quieter car despite the low price tag.
2005 Mazda Mazda3 - Reliable and sturdy.
The Mazda3 is a very sturdy little vehicle. It is a 12-year-old car that looks like it is only three years old. The car is in very nice condition and runs smoothly. It is small and compact, but it feels like there is a lot of room inside. There is not very much trunk space, but with a little car like this, you can't expect there to be a lot anyway. The gas mileage is decent, not good but not bad either. It handles very well, and I have not had any issues with it so far. Overall, I am very happy to have purchased this specific car.

I went over a small bump in the road that I couldn't even see, and because of how little the car weighs, the bump shot me and my girlfriend up into the air. She screamed, and it felt like we had gone over a jump even though it was only a little bump.

The car has held up very well as time has gone on. Visually, it still looks like a very new car, and it is still in style. The paint has held up well in an area with a lot of sunny days and very hot summers. I have only had to replace minor cosmetic parts -- nothing major has gone wrong with the car.

The gas mileage I get on this car is only decent. There is very little trunk space as well as leg space for the people in the back seats. The air doesn't circulate very well to the people sitting in the back. Over time, the back windshield has become blurry, and I am not sure why. It is now hard to see things behind me through the back windshield.
