The Hyundai Entourage is a good family car. We can safely fit 5 car safety seats in the back seats. The trunk provides a decent amount of storage and the backseats can be folded down to increase storage capacity. The automatic doors are not reliable, and we have found that to be true from others who own this make of car as well. It has mostly just needed routine maintenance, but it has occasionally needed more expensive repairs as it has aged. It is a great car for long road trips. We really like the size of the car as a growing family, but I would not recommend it to anyone with many older children as it would not provide adequate leg and seat room to larger passengers--especially when filled to capacity. Driving wise it is excellent, but in terms of the quality of the car, par... (more)
Story
We love using this car in our area because several other families in our homeschool group have similar cars. The kids get a kick out of seeing the line up of minivans at group meetings.
Pros
The top positive things about the car are its ability to safely install 5 car seats, the storage capacity, and its roadside reliability. I am also a fan of the seat warmers.
Cons
The negative features are the easily breakable sliding door handles and the unreliable automatic sliding doors. Also, it is far too easy for a child to trigger the child safety lock on doors.

The Hyundai Entourage is a great family vehicle. It drives like a sports car with a powerful engine. The quality inside the vehicle was mid range; however, it is meant for families with children. It has a durable interior. The radio needs to be better for a family car so that the DVD system is in the dash instead of above the heads of the children.
Story
We drove to this vehicle down to Disney World for a cheer competition. The kids had plenty of room, and the video system kept them happy.
Pros
It has very smooth ride. It handles like a sports car. Durable interior for those with kids. DVD system helps keep the kids entertained with an RCA port in the rear for a game system. Third row helps with those with more than two children in car seats. The third row folds down into rear for a flat area for large object that need to be transported. Automatic opening sliding entry doors for the kids. An automatic hatch back.
Cons
The 2007–2009 had a problem with the rims. They were slightly bent causing vibration at higher speeds. The key remote would not allow the sliding rear doors or hatch back to open. The automatic side doors stop working from time to time.

2006 Hyundai Entourage - Great value for an older model van with great functionality and comfort.

This is a great van for the value, paying $7000+ for a used van under 100K miles. Spacious with great trunk space and the ability to store the back seats. V6 engine is a plus for a little extra power getting up inclines and keeping pace in traffic. No radio controls on the steering wheel is a negative, but not a deal-breaker.
Story
great trips to the store and vacations and other places with no issues. We have drove the van for over 3 years to different states and different places around the city and have only put 30K miles on the van. We continue to use the van as a good vehicle to get to and from and to have our kids sleep in between trips to the store.
Pros
Dual climate control. Stow away seats in back/trunk. Cruise control. Captain seating. V6 engine.
Cons
No steering wheel radio controls, no automatic closing doors.
