This is one of the best vehicles that I have owned. I financed and was offered a great deal that included an extended warranty for almost nothing. It was the top of the line warranty and included tons of parts up to 100k miles, tire replacements, roadside assistance, etc. I thought that it would come in handy, but I have only used it twice in five years and it was for things that required maintenance. It has cost me barely anything to maintain this car. It still drives the same as it did when I bought it. It is a champion in all weather. It fits everything that I need and I have used it to transport pretty large items. Fits strollers and car seats perfectly. It is a really good family car.
Story
Well, trying to get this thing to do donuts in 12 inches of snow was difficult. I left the traction control on just to see how it would handle if I really tried to get out of control and was pleased that I wasn't really able to get it to spin out very well.
Pros
All wheel drive that handles perfectly in all weather. Has needed barely any repairs in five years. Still drives as smooth as it did when purchased. Fits a great deal of stuff, large items, strollers, car seats, etc with plenty of room to spare. Has all the bells and whistles for the time period the vehicle was made like XM, Bluetooth, USB, etc. Warranty offered by Hyundai was top notch and was next to nothing to purchase - it offered total peace of mind. Fits five people without feeling cramped. Fuel cost for this vehicle is pretty good, I never feel like I am wasting gas.
Cons
Honestly, I have no complaints about this vehicle or my experience with it.

The Santa Fe has literally been there for me through thick and thin. I have had many times were I have had to load up Maria ( my car) to the brim, strap a mattress to the top and drive to a new location. I truly don't know what I would do without my car. She has been there for festivals and concerts, she has gotten me through many cross country trips to help family in need, and truly has saved my life in a few situations in college. She's a little worn down and looks a little rough, but she's been loved. Complete part of my life that I will never regret purchasing as my first adult purchase. The Sound System has been through anything and everything and still keeps rocking. Sun roof has helped a lot of starter tans and trips for band camp.
Story
Driving from Georgia to Chicago to top Michigan to Chicago again and finally ending in Alabama. It was a life changing trip with a lot of time to think about life and I felt completely at home in Maria to drive that nonsense.
Pros
The sound system, it was great for times when I just wanted to jam out for a fun time or if I just wanted to park and cry. The sunroof is a major prop and gets great miles at least I think.
Cons
I unfortunately had to have a friend break into my car cause I locked the keys in, which wasn't the problem.. It was the problem that the handle was literally so close to the window that if its slightly open while locked, you could just squeeze your hand in there to grab the knob. The only other thing would be the seats don't lay completely flat in the back.

2011 Hyundai Santa Fe - A great mid sized SUV

The 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe is a great mid sized SUV. I feel like I am driving a sports car when cursing around town. It corners sharply and rides smoothly. While the acceleration is a tad slow, once it picks up speed it has a lot of get up and go for a 4 cylinder and I have had no issues climbing up hills while maintaining speed. The interior is well made and sharp looking. The console is sleek and easy to use and directed to the driver making it easy to change stations and use the air system. It has good viability, I feel like I am able to see out all of the windows easily to watch for traffic. There is a ton of space in the trunk of the car with an additional hidden compartment for more storage! My german shepherd is able to comfortably fit in the back of the car with space to lay dow... (more)
Story
Taking it on a trip to the beach, there are a lot of corners and this car corners so well it's very fun to drive it around them.
Pros
The exterior, the gas mileage is really good for a car of it's size, it's comfortable to drive and has a sporty feel.
Cons
Acceleration is a little slow, it is a little short but that doesn't take too much away from the look of the car.
