The Old Yet Reliable Sonata
The 2005 Hyundai Sonata has been a very decent car to drive and one of my best decisions I have ever made to purchase. I enjoyed the Sonata’s handling ability when it came to rugged roads filled with cracks and craters. Most of the time I would not be able to feel a thing. Also, the vehicle could accelerate to 80 miles per hour very easily for the first five years I owned it. Unfortunately, the Sonata’s acceleration ability slowly started to dwindle to where it would take it a while to accelerate. When I purchased the car the first thing that attracted me to it was the style. A semi-long car with unique headlights was the kind of car I was looking for at the time. For eight years the car performed very well. I only had two or three issues along the way for that eight year span, however, last year the 2005 Hyundai Sonata broke down at least ten times in 2014. It started with the radiator. Once the radiator broke, both engine coils broke, then the brakes went bad, the battery died, the O2 sensor, and the crankshaft position sensor went bad. All of these issues happened within a 7 month span. I literally felt I was in the shop every other weekend. However, once the crankshaft position sensor was repaired last December I have not had a problem with the car since. I routinely go in for oil changes and ask the mechanics to check for anything that may need repair. Accept for that major bump down the road the 2005 Hyundai Sonata has been very reliable for getting me from destination A to destination B.

Great Exterior - Interior Lacking
I've owned this car for 8 years now. It currently has 90,000 miles on it and is still running strong. Only had to buy one battery since receiving the car. The body is holding up amazing. I did have someone back into me a year ago and only got a minor scratch on the bumper. I wish I could say that about the interior of the car. The interior started falling apart within the first year. The visors are broken, the middle console has fallen apart. Just horrible. It's just myself and my daughter that use the car, so it's not like it's getting a beat down from young children.

It was very reliable and had pretty good gas mileage.
I purchased my 2002 Hyundai Sonata brand new and owned it for 10 years. It had a nice feel to it while driving and I never noticed Andy unusual noises from the engine, in fact I often had to make sure it was running when stopped because it was so quite. not like a large luxury car but was smooth and handled well. The leather seats were quite comfortable with plenty of leg room for taller people. The body had slight resemblance to a jaguar so it make it appealing. The inside had ample space for 5 adults and the trunk was rooming holding my golf clubs and push cart with no problem. Repairs were never a problem I never utilized the 100,000 mile warranty just normal non covered repairs. One issue which was odd was that my headlight bulbs had to replaced quite often, and my local repairman said he heard other people with this car claim the same thing. Air bags were present for both the driver and passenger sides of the front seat. I felt rather safe driving at most any speed. I drove 30 miles in traffic each way to work and filled the tank one per week for the most part so gas mileage was good. I was very satisfied the years owned and would highly recommend it to others.
