2005 Hyundai Sonata - The Old Yet Reliable Sonata
The 2005 Hyundai Sonata has been a very decent car to drive and one of my best decisions I have ever made to purchase. I enjoyed the Sonata’s handling ability when it came to rugged roads filled with cracks and craters. Most of the time I would not be able to feel a thing. Also, the vehicle could accelerate to 80 miles per hour very easily for the first five years I owned it. Unfortunately, the Sonata’s acceleration ability slowly started to dwindle to where it would take it a while to accelerate. When I purchased the car the first thing that attracted me to it was the style. A semi-long car with unique headlights was the kind of car I was looking for at the time. For eight years the car performed very well. I only had two or three issues along the way for that eight year span, however...

I only had two or three issues along the way for that eight year span, however, last year the 2005 Hyundai Sonata broke down at least ten times in 2014. It started with the radiator. Once the radiator broke, both engine coils broke, then the brakes went bad, the battery died, the O2 sensor, and the crankshaft position sensor went bad. All of these issues happened within a 7 month span. I literally felt I was in the shop every other weekend. However, once the crankshaft position sensor was repaired last December I have not had a problem with the car since. I routinely go in for oil changes and ask the mechanics to check for anything that may need repair. Accept for that major bump down the road the 2005 Hyundai Sonata has been very reliable for getting me from destination A to destination B.
One day I was driving the car through the parking lot at a local park to play basketball. As I was going over a speed bump the children at the side started to laugh at me because they said that the car looked like it jumped ten feet in the air.

The 2005 Hyundai Sonata has a wonderful speaker system that I have enjoyed throughout the years. I enjoyed the fact that I was able to easily replace the radio with a more modern radio. The trunk space of the 2005 Hyundai Sonata is very decent. I am easily able to fit all of the materials that I need to have on me in the car for certain situations. As I mentioned before, the Sonata’s handling ability is one of the best that I have ever driven. The most important aspect about a vehicle when you first purchase it is the price. As I mentioned before, the Sonata’s handling ability is one of the best that I have ever driven. The most important aspect about a vehicle when you first purchase it is the price. This car was fairly inexpensive. It had all the features I was looking for but was one of the least expensive options compared to its competitors. Because of that I was a bit skeptical at first but this car has exceeded my expectations. The 2005 Hyundai Sonata gets great gas mileage. In fact, my commute from home to work to home (round trip) is about thirty miles. With this commute five days out of the week and with the extra driving I do to extracurricular activities I only have to fill up the tank once every ten days.
The 2005 Hyundai Sonata had a very bad streak in 2014 as I mentioned above. Numerous parts went bad or broke while I was driving one after the other. There was a point to where it happened three days in the road. The car broke down on me so frequently that the people at the shop knew me and the model of my car by name. In addition, the 2005 Hyundai Sonata cannot handle well in stormy weather at all. I have to drive slow when it starts to downpour because the car will hydroplane or start to drift if the driver does not have complete control over the steering. Also, over the years the car ha...

In addition, the 2005 Hyundai Sonata cannot handle well in stormy weather at all. I have to drive slow when it starts to downpour because the car will hydroplane or start to drift if the driver does not have complete control over the steering. Also, over the years the car has had a harder time accelerating to the appropriate speed limit after I come to a complete stop. I assume the age and use of the vehicle plays an important factor, nonetheless, I have realized a significant change. Lastly, since the car is longer than most sedan cars I have driven it is harder to do three-point turns and U turns at intersections. They are still doable and I have no problem doing them, however, I have to perform them slower than I do with most other cars.
