I've owned this car for 8 years now. It currently has 90,000 miles on it and is still running strong. Only had to buy one battery since receiving the car. The body is holding up amazing. I did have someone back into me a year ago and only got a minor scratch on the bumper. I wish I could say that about the interior of the car. The interior started falling apart within the first year. The visors are broken, the middle console has fallen apart. Just horrible. It's just myself and my daughter that use the car, so it's not like it's getting a beat down from young children.

The 2005 Hyundai Sonata has been a very decent car to drive and one of my best decisions I have ever made to purchase. I enjoyed the Sonata’s handling ability when it came to rugged roads filled with cracks and craters. Most of the time I would not be able to feel a thing. Also, the vehicle could accelerate to 80 miles per hour very easily for the first five years I owned it. Unfortunately, the Sonata’s acceleration ability slowly started to dwindle to where it would take it a while to accelerate. When I purchased the car the first thing that attracted me to it was the style. A semi-long car with unique headlights was the kind of car I was looking for at the time. For eight years the car performed very well. I only had two or three issues along the way for that eight year span, however... (more)
Story
One day I was driving the car through the parking lot at a local park to play basketball. As I was going over a speed bump the children at the side started to laugh at me because they said that the car looked like it jumped ten feet in the air.
Pros
The 2005 Hyundai Sonata has a wonderful speaker system that I have enjoyed throughout the years. I enjoyed the fact that I was able to easily replace the radio with a more modern radio. The trunk space of the 2005 Hyundai Sonata is very decent. I am easily able to fit all of the materials that I need to have on me in the car for certain situations. As I mentioned before, the Sonata’s handling ability is one of the best that I have ever driven. The most important aspect about a vehicle when you first purchase it is the price. This car was fairly inexpensive. It had all the features I was lo... (more)
Cons
The 2005 Hyundai Sonata had a very bad streak in 2014 as I mentioned above. Numerous parts went bad or broke while I was driving one after the other. There was a point to where it happened three days in the road. The car broke down on me so frequently that the people at the shop knew me and the model of my car by name. In addition, the 2005 Hyundai Sonata cannot handle well in stormy weather at all. I have to drive slow when it starts to downpour because the car will hydroplane or start to drift if the driver does not have complete control over the steering. Also, over the years the car ha... Pros
Ease to set cruise control and multiple mileage markers.
Cons
No rear windshield wiper on the car which can be troublesome in big rainfall. Low clearance makes it a car you need to take bumps and dips carefully.
