The 2005 Hyundai Sonata I own is not only comfortable, but also safe and economic. The interior, while not boasting expensive, luxury taste, is very comfortable for daily commutes or even long trips. The stock stereo/cd player and sound system is nothing fancy, but it certainly meets all the standard requirements. The a/c and heat in the vehicle function optimally, including an internal climate control functionality as opposed to the simple numbered cooling heating options in most vehicles. Within the vehicle, you can set a temperature that is the most comfortable for your commute, and can also control the amount of actual air blown out in order to achieve the temperature either immediately, or slowly. The fuel economy of the vehicle is pretty standard for the 6 cylinder model, which ... (more)
Story
We often use this vehicle to drive to the local park/river. It is a cozy and fun vehicle for family ventures, and definitely enhances the excitement. One particular trip to the park was marked by silly sing alongs with songs played on the radio!
Pros
The body style of this particular model is perhaps my favorite body style the Sonata has seen. The vehicle is light enough that the acceleration, thanks to the 6 cylinder engine, is rapid enough to not create stress when merging onto a congested roadway. The ride is very smooth, and the steering is incredibly tight. The drive feels good and allows the driver to operate the vehicle with comfort and ease.
Cons
While the engine is more than capable, sometimes it feels as though the vehicle seems to struggle on quick acceleration. This is usually not something that is necessary, but in exceptional situations, it could prove problematic. The antennae for the radio is retractable, therefore when it is first activated, it can not pick up stations until fully extended. This is not a huge problem in itself, but the antennae does not seem to be able to pick up all available radio stations, which could indicate a possibility of long-term wear implications due to the motorized movement of the antennae.

My car was used by a family friend to go back and forth to work, about a 140 mile round trip, five days a week for a little over four years. By the time I bought it, she had over 140,000 miles on it. I felt that it would last a couple more years, but I was wrong. It's still going and now has over 220,000 miles on it. I completely back this car and the company, because it's still going strong. Now, of course, I have had to do small repairs. But nothing that has been a crazy rebuild, just the normal tires and oil changes. The inside is very roomie and can fit five adults very well. It's also travels well for long trips. The five hour drives to Vegas are not bad when sitting in this car. The back seat holds car seats very well, which makes it a good family car as well. The car has done so... (more)
Story
We were in line for the parking garage at Disneyland and we saw a man, who was yelling at his kids, hit the car in front of him.
Pros
Some of my favorite things are the heated front seats, the automatic windows and doors, and the just overall smooth ride.
