Hyundai Sonata good for the age
This car is pretty old and for the age, and for the mileage of almost 200,000 miles, it runs pretty well. It does leak oil and power steering fluid, and it definitely doesnÕt look pretty. It is old style looking car and definitely doesnÕt have any of the bells and whistles, but it gets me around to where I need to be and that IÕm grateful for. It does drive pretty smooth, turns well and will go fast if you need it to. There is a knocking noise issue on it right now, but I think that shouldnÕt be too bad of a fix. ItÕs kind of small if you have more than three kids, but big enough to fit my two kids and their car seats in the back nicely and everyone has room.

Love and hate
I bought a 2002 Sonata, and paid cash for it. It was a beautiful car, as good looking on the inside as on the outside. I loved that car. It ran so quietly, you hardly knew if the ignition was switched on, There was plenty of trunk space for it to have been a mid sized car. I go excellent gas mileage as well. After about 6 months, the check engine light came on, I had the car checked by several places, they could find nothing wrong, and would reset the light, but it always came back on before I even got it home. I couldn't get it inspected because of that, but still had to drive it to get to work. About 6 months after that, it started missing really bad, and it happened to be a couple of sensors that had gone bad, was goin to cost me well over a thousand dollars to fix, and I had already spent my money to pay for it up front, and I could not afford this. So I had to leave it sitting while I leased a car. I finally had it fixed, and about 4 months into that, the check engine light is on again. I think I am going to have to start all over...I love the car, but hate the constant repair!.

My 2002 Hyundai Sonata has given me outstanding performance well past the 150,000 mile mark. Car parts are readily available and not expensive. It is a perfect economy sedan for someone who does not want to spend too much money. It is also a perfect car for someone who has not had one before.
