I am so in love with my Hyundai Veloster Turbo! in fact, I love it so much I purchased my second Veloster just 6 months after getting my first one due to the fact that my ex-boyfriend wrecked it. I am so impressed with the design, performance, and the number of premium options on the Veloster, especially considering the price point of $23K fully loaded. This car has a lot of speed and is very fun to drive! The sports-tuned steering and low profile tires really make it hug the road and it zips in and out of traffic with ease. It's obvious that Hyundai put a lot of thought into the design of the interior space - the leather seats are super comfortable and, for a small sports car, the amount of storage space is quite impressive!
Story
A few weeks after purchasing my first Veloster, I took it for a day-long drive in the Hill Country right outside of Austin, Texas. It was such a blast to drive around the twisty, turny curves and zip up and down the hills!
Pros
I love the fact that the Veloster looks like a two door sports car, but that the back passenger side features a hidden third door for convenience. This car has a fantastic stereo system, in-dash navigation, and a panoramic sunroof. It is so fun to drive!
Cons
The only minor con is that the driver's side seat belt rides up a little high and rubs the side of my neck.

I have a 2013 Hyundai Veloster 6-speed turbo. It's a pretty cool little car. One door on the driver's side, two doors on the passenger side. People are constantly commenting on the car and seem to really like it. It's sporty looking inside and out. The easiest manual transmission that I've ever driven and I was able to teach my teenage daughter to drive it in about 15 minutes. Very hard to stall.
Story
Friends being surprised by two doors on the passenger side and not being able to figure it out :)
Pros
On the positive side this car comes loaded with tons of features for a very reasonable price. Heated leather seats, back-up camera, sun roof, lots of safety features. It has low profile sports tires that actually hold up. Far more to this car than comparably priced cars.
Cons
It doesn't have a lot of pep for a 6-speed. I previously had a Dodge Caliber SRT4 and that care was powerful. The Veloster seems like a regular manual transmission car in comparison. Paint on this car is very easily scratched - it almost peels off - and the dealership didn't do anything about it. It also has pretty substantial blind spots due to it's unusual shape. The back-up camera helps but you still have to be careful.

The Hyundai Velostar was certainly an eye catcher, which is what initially drew me to the vehicle. The interior may be even more interesting, with great features such as a touch screen media center, leather trim seats, and an overall fresh design that was supposedly inspired by motorcycles. Very comfortable ride and very fuel efficient.
Story
People are very divided on the appearance of the car. On the one hand I have people telling me it looks really sleek and really fast. With my window open I have driven past people and heard them talking with their friends about how cool it looks. On the other hand, I have also walked to it from a parking lot to overhear someone calling it ugly. I think it is "love it or hate it" when it comes ... (more)
Pros
I find the car very comfortable, very stylish, and very reliable so far. I've only owned it for a year and a half and haven't needed to take it in for anything other than routine maintenance. The media center is great, making it easy for me to connect my smart phone through Blue Tooth so I can make hands free calls or listen to streaming online music.
Cons
The car does have a lot of blind spots. The rear window is very small and minimally functions in terms of visibility. If the vehicle is full it may be very difficult to see out the minimal window space given to the driver. Along with that, taller passengers will have trouble sitting in the back seat, and the car is very slow to take off in the first two gears in automatic.
