I absolutely love my Hyundai Sonata! It handles the road and drives very well. Even after having the car for five years, with over 142,000 miles on it, I still have not had any major problems with it. Not to mention, it has a lot of great features that come standard with the car (i.e. Bluetooth hands-free calling). The size of the Hyundai Sonata is another feature that I love. It comfortably seats 5 adults and there's even tons of leg room in the back. The trunk is huge as well. I'm about 4'8 and can climb right in with no problems! With gas prices being so high, it's a great benefit that the Hyundai Sonata gets such great gas mileage. I can commute to work, run various errands, and still not have to fill up every week. I’ve noticed that there are lots of storage spaces in the car. The... (more)
Story
My most memorable story regarding this car is when I went to the dealership thinking I was going to buy a car and instead, my dad agreed to purchase it for me.
Pros
Several of the Hyundai Sonata’s features are my favorite. For starters, I love the auxiliary cord and USB connections. That allows me to listen to music from my phone or from a USB connection. I love the Bluetooth, hands-free calling feature because it allows for safe communication while I’m driving. The Hyundai Sonata is well built and very safe, which is another feature I love. I was rear-ended in January 2014 and the bumper stayed completely intact! There was barely a dent and that’s impressive, considering the low quality of other car brands these days. Another positive thing I like ab... (more)
Cons
One of the things I dislike about the Hyundai Sonata is the fact that I cannot operate the radio and audio controls from the steering wheel. It’s very unfortunate that I have to take my hands off of the wheel if I want to change the radio station, turn up the volume, skip to the next track, etc. I think adding these controls to the steering wheel would have made for added security in the vehicle. Another thing I dislike about the Hyundai Sonata is the fact that the seats aren’t power-operated. I hate having to manually adjust my seats in order to get comfortable. It would be a lot more con... I bought this car as a second vehicle, one to drive back and forth to work. It quickly became one of my favorite cars. I've owned everything from cars to trucks to SUVs. None of them had the comfort of this car. The front seats feel like they are molded to your body. There is plenty of leg room as well! I am 6'2" and my son is 5'9". He can sit behind me, and we will both be comfortable. The Air Conditioner is the best I've ever had on any vehicle. It would cool the interior of the car in just a few minutes. I really like the trunk space as well. I never had a problem fitting everything we needed when we went on a trip. We would normally carry 6 big suitcases, the roller ones, plus a few smaller bags, any time we went on a long trip. The trunk on my Sonata always held everything. Th... (more)
Story
Even though the Sonata was a 2 wheel drive car, I would still take it riding on dirt roade. One time, I was in a group of friends. They were all driving their 4 wheel drive trucks. They all got stuck in the mud, and I pulled them out with my Sonata!!
Pros
My favorite features of the Sonata were the Leg Room, Trunk Space, and Ergonomic seats
Cons
The only negative thing about my Sonata was the Paint. As with all of the white 2010 Sonatas, the paint began flaking off soon after I bought it
