I purchased my Santa Fe pre-owned with approximately 132,000+ miles. It's a neutral color (silver). Although I would have preferred it in black, the color isn't bad. I like the fact it's based off of the Sonata platform, and it's pretty good on gas as a result. It also handles a bit more like a car than other SUVs I've driven. It tends to handle curves -- particularly entering/exiting the interstate -- quite well for its size. I'm short, so I like the clearance and visibility it affords me while driving.
Story
Just the other day I started it up and apparently the sound of the engine woke up a small lizard who was napping on the hood. It scrambled up onto the windshield wiper and held on for as long as it could until aerodynamics came into play and he blew off.
Pros
There are plenty of compartments for storage: one on top of the dash, two sunglasses compartments overhead and one in the armrest. I believe there's also storage in the armrest in the backseat, but I've never ridden in the back so I'm not sure. I like the fact the audio controls (volume, channel, mute) are on the steering wheel. It's easier to change stations and adjust the volume without taking my eyes off the road. I love the layout of the center console. Cons
The GLS is only 185-hp, so sometimes it struggles to accelerate and get up to speed. Other times, it accelerates smoothly. That's really the only fault I have with it.
