I have a blue Santa Fe and it's been indispensable. I've been very happy with this purchase over all these years since 2010 when I purchased my 2009 Blue Santa Fe.
Story
A couple things jump out in my mind in my memory bank of good times with my Santa Fe. One, going to the Drive-In movie theater with my son for "together time" and a good old summer movie. Pros
I love my moon roof. I love the heated seats. As well, the roominess and fold down back seats that expand that interior roominess is incredibly practical. I am a homemaker, advocate for my son's educational needs, and often times a care taker. This car's versatility has helped me manage every aspect of my life. The warranty thus far has proven very useful not due to too many problems but when typical issues have arisen from everyday use. Cons
I don't love the ease of which the seat upholstery stains, but I was offered and purchased the extra maintenance package to address this and similar issues so I can live with that. I do not enjoy the difficulty in using it as it is not offered directly from Hyundai but a third party. After a couple years the suspension does not feel as smooth as it first was though I haven't looked into why this might be. The leather like part of interior also dirties and warps with ease. My only wish was an included Bluetooth function that was not an option.

I have always been a Toyota lover until I drove my Santa Fe. It is a very comfortable ride. We have two carseats in the back and there is plenty of room. The trunk/hatch area is very spacious and I like that it has some hidden storage there too. We have had very few minor problems in the six years we have owned the car.
Story
We have made multiple trips from Kentucky to Florida in this car.
Pros
I wanted an SUV and this was a nice choice because it is only a little smaller than most SUVs, but a lot less expensive. It gets about 19 MPG in city driving. Very roomy. We have children and a light interior upholstery, even with the light coloring, it does not show very much wear.
Cons
The paint job on my particular vehicle was done very poorly. It is chipping and peeling very badly, so much so that it is starting to rust in spots on the hood. Also the tire pressure sensor is very sensitive, it comes on at the first sign of fall and will come and go all winter. The last major problem we have had is the fuel gauge sensor stopped working and would only register a half a tank of gas even if it was full. After we got that fixed, there have been no problems.
