2010 Lexus HS 250h - luxury
The Lexus HS250 definitely lives up to its reputation for a luxury sedan. Sitting in the vehicle you will find that it is very spacious no matter where you are in the vehicle; passenger, back seat passenger or driver. Because the interior is so spacious, the trunk space is limited. Also, the back seats do not fold down to allow for moving larger items. The interior is covered by very soft leather that is easy to clean and condition. I like the fact that the leather is also on parts of the dash and doors. The navigation system has a mouse similar to a mini laptop built into the car. It works well but some of the functions are not accessible when the vehicle is moving. Can make it difficult when trying to navigate somewhere during a drive. You have to come to a complete stop to enter an address. I have had the vehicle for 3 years and have not had any issues large or small with the engine or the performance of the vehicle. I average about 40 miles per gallon thanks to the hybrid engine. It is very convenient only having to fill the gas tank once every 3 weeks.
The Lexus HS250 provides a very luxurious comfortable ride. The driver’s seat moves very freely to accommodate for very tall or very short people driving the vehicle. There are buttons you can save your drive settings to that allows multiple drivers to easily access the setting with a push of a button. When the vehicle is turned off the seat automatically moves back making exiting the vehicle easier. The seat will automatically move back to your saved settings when you put on your seatbelt. The voice recognition commands in the vehicle are very convenient when driving. It allows you to make phone calls, change the radio station, and turn up or down the volume, ect. all hands free, which is a great safety feature. The fact that this car is a hybrid makes the gas mileage in this vehicle really good. I average about 40 miles per gallon. The rear camera makes backing up into small parking spaces quicker and easier without the stress of possibly backing into something you cannot see from your mirrors alone. The interior of the vehicle is very easy to keep clean. The leather does not soak up moisture or scent allowing for easy cleaning and maintaining a new car smell.
There is very limited trunk space because the inside of the car is so spacious. It would not be an issue at all but since the back seats do not fold down either it is impossible to carry any large loads in the vehicle. The battery is not easily accessible. I tried to be a Good Samaritan and give someone a jump but I could not get to the battery. It is located in the trunk and I had things in the truck at the time. You would have to unload everything in the trunk to get to it, not convenient at all. There is an automatic setting for the windshield wipers which is convenient when it st...

There is an automatic setting for the windshield wipers which is convenient when it starts to rain the wipers will automatically turn on, however, the sensor can be too sensitive at times casing the wipers to move very fast when it is only drizzling or sometimes is not sensitive enough and the wipers move too slow when it is raining hard. The backup camera works well, but would work better of the camera itself were centered, it is off centered and took a while to get used to the picture being off centered. It would also be nice if it provided lines on the screen to show where the vehicle was going based on the angle you are reversing in.
