The 2007 Nissan Armada is a great vehicle. It is very spacious with 8 comfortable seats. The heating and cooling is exceptional and you can ride in the vehicle comfortably. The design is appealing and looks nice. The traction on the tires are good too. It is a 4 wheel drive SUV and is powerful for most things needed. The Armada drives smoothly. You can't feel as much bumps or turbulence as in other cars or SUVs. I think the inside of the Armada is very nice. It has a sunroof and a nice radio screen. Everything has a modern look
Story
I've had this vehicle for a long time and my best memory would be driving cross-country from Washington to Louisiana. It was a long trip and the car lasted the whole way without repairs.
Pros
I liked the look of the vehicle and the smooth driving. Its powerful and has decent gas miles.
Cons
It's really big so it may be harder to handle at some times.

I am totally in love with my Armada! Prior to purchasing my car, I had two small cars: a Ford Focus & a Toyota Corolla. Although they were reliable cars and I had them for 5+ years each, I wanted something bigger. I didn't want a HUGE vehicle that made it impossible to fit into any parking stall, but I did want something where I could actually climb into. I wanted a vehicle where I was able to fit my family (I had decided to start a family with my partner) and I wanted us to be able to grow in it with no issues. I also wanted a car that I could take on road trips and feel totally comfortable while having the ability to take everything needed without being restricted on trunk space. The Armada was my SUV of choice. It fit all my needs for a female without having to purchase a mommy van!... (more)
Story
I will never forget the day I brought home my daughter from the hospital. I was so nervous! But after strapping her into her car seat and climbing into the car, I honestly felt safe. I knew we were both protected & no accident could harm us.
Pros
I love the BOSE surround sound feature & my back-up camera the most! Now I can reverse park ( although I feel like I am already a pro at it ) with ease & I can see who is behind me if I'm blocked in by two other cars who are larger. Also, when I'm alone I love turn up the music and sing to it while driving. Hearing the base without having to install an additional box in the back is always a plus. Oh and not to mention the Bluetooth feature! Its already synced up with my phone so I know if I forgot it somewhere and I can do hands free driving! No more headsets while driving!
Cons
I can't really say I have anything negative to say about my Armada just yet. I've had it for little over a year & I'm still in love with it. Maybe the only Con would be the color. The original color I wanted of maroon was not available with the features I wanted, so I chose grey. Also, now that I think about it, I dislike where the "anchors" are for the child seats. I had to read the manual what felt like a million times to finally locate it, but I had issues accessing it. It was difficult to find & partially hidden for the 2nd row.

2016 Nissan Armada - It does what we need, but expensive to run.

We purchased this vehicle to accommodate our large family, guests and lots of traveling. The space is great, even the trunk space with all seats up, plenty of room. The electric tilt for the rear seats is fabulous, especially as we are constantly putting them up and down! also the legroom for the back seats is comfortable. I wouldn't say great but fine for our younger children. The two way split for the back seats is also useful. It is quite tanky looking and feels like a bus to drive but I suppose that is sort of what we bought it for, a bus to transport the kids around! We very much like the leather interior, it wipes clean so easily so is useful if you have young children! The front/back sensors and rear camera are great especially when driving/parking such a big vehicle. It does fe... (more)
Story
How silly I look driving it round our location - it's huge and I am so small!
Pros
Space, even with all seats up there is a good amount of trunk space. The electric tilt control for the back seats is very useful and so simple. Leather interior - easily cleaned.
Cons
Fuel consumption is shocking. Is very bulky, feels a bit like a tank.

Nissan Armada Generations

The Nissan Armada is a full-sized, truck-based SUV with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It has three rows of seats and can fit seven or eight passengers, depending on the model. The Armada is currently in its second generation.

2017 - Present (Second Generation) Y62

The newest generation of Armada remains a body-on-frame full-size SUV and continues to share many elements of its platform and powertrain with the Nissan Titan full-size pickup. It's also very similar to the Infiniti QX80 luxury SUV.

The Armada grew for this generation in both length (1.2 inches overall) and width (0.6 inches), but height and wheelbase were slightly reduced. It claims best-in-class second-row headroom and legroom.

It comes with a 5.6-liter V8 engine with 390 horsepower and a seven-speed automatic transmission featuring downshift rev matching and adaptive shift control. A towing package allows it to tow up to 8,500 pounds. The Armada is offered in both 2WD and 4WD.

Fuel economy for the 2WD Armada maxes out at 14 mpg in the city and 19 on the highway. 4WD versions take a hit of 1 mpg in each category.

Exterior styling was also refreshed with sharper lines a modern roofline and its many curved exterior panels mirror those on the Infiniti QX80. The V-motion grille now features all LED lights, including low-beams, daytime running lights and taillights. Several new safety features were added, including forward-collision warning, emergency braking, lane departure prevention and blind-spot warning. Cameras include a rearview camera and a 360-degree monitor that can detect moving objects on the top-end Platinum trim.

There are three trim levels: SV, SL and Platinum.

The SV trim has standard features like Bluetooth capability, 18-inch wheels, power-adjustable driver's seat, adjustable pedals, heated seats in the front and second row, rearview camera, parking sensors and climate control. A 13-speaker Bose audio system is also standard along with an 8-inch info display. The 4WD option is available for an additional price as is the Driver Package, which adds fog lights, an interior mirror with compass and auto-dimming, plus power liftgate, trailer harness, power seats in the third row and a universal garage opener.

The SL is the mid-level trim and it adds to the SV features leather seats, heated seats, Bose audio system, 20-inch wheels and an optional Technology Package. That package mostly adds safety features such as collision warning systems, emergency braking, blind-spot warnings and adaptive cruise control.

The highest Platinum trim comes with features such as a rear entertainment system, power moonroof and 20-inch alloy wheels. Climate controlled front seats are standard and captain's chairs for the second row are available.

In 2019, all models now came standard with intelligent cruise control, forward collision warning, rearview monitor, rear door alert and emergency braking. The door alert system uses a display message and a horn to alert drivers of anything left in the backseat.

New standard exterior features include roof rails and automatic halogen headlights. Options on the exterior include a sunroof, fog lights and power liftgate. Four package options are offered, including the Driver Package, Premium Package, Pearl White Paint Scheme Package and Second-Row Captain's Chairs Package.

2004 - 2016 (First Generation) WA60

The first generation of Armada was initially called the Pathfinder Armada, but that was dropped after the 2004 model year. The Armada debuted as a truck-based SUV based on the Nissan Titan and built on the Nissan F-Alpha platform. It became the automaker's biggest SUV over the Pathfinder.

The Armada was launched with a 5.6-liter, 305-horsepower V8 engine and a five-speed automatic transmission. The wheelbase was 123.2 inches and the length -- depending on the model -- was between 206.9 and 207.7 inches. Width was between 78.8 inches and 79.3 inches and the height was 78.7 inches.

It offered rear-wheel-drive standard and optional four-wheel-drive. It featured four-wheel independent suspension and three rows of seating to accommodate up to eight passengers.

A 2008 refresh gave the Armada slightly more power with 317 horsepower, but towing capacity remained the same at about 9,100 pounds.

The 2011 model removed the SE and Off-Road trims and went with a tiered format. The SV became the base trim, SL was the middle trim and Platinum became the top trim.

The 2013 Armada made some technology upgrades with Bluetooth and satellite radio becoming standard across trims. It also added a USB port and a disk drive with 40 GB of storage. The DVD entertainment system included mounted screens behind the front head restraints.

A 2015 upgrade saw a refresh of interior door panels, plus additional color choices on the exterior and a new style for the 20-inch wheels on the SL and Platinum trims. The Platinum trim also came with an optional Reserve Package that added brown carpet and unique interior trim, plus dark chrome on the wheels and the exterior trim. The SL only included one option and that was a power moonroof. The SV trim offered an optional Driver Package that included a backup camera, power liftgate and Bose audio system.
