1998 Nissan Pathfinder - Very comfortable during hot summer months in the desert.

The climate control worked great, especially during the hot summer months in Arizona. It was only after 10 years of continuous use that the electrical system started to go haywire. Great for racing too. All I had to do was just put it into first and go! I consider it to have had good gas mileage for an SUV.
Story
Cruising on Speedway was always the thing to do on Saturday nights and my Pathfinder performed fantastic when needed.
Pros
I absolutely loved all the space that this SUV had even when occupied with five people. The material on the seats was comfortable. The air conditioning held up even when the temperature was into the hundreds. Driving into and out of narrow driveways was a cinch due to the fact that it turned on a dime. To me it drove like a car instead of a truck which I liked.
Cons
One of the gadgets that was found in the rear of the vehicle was a constant nuisance. I never did figure out what is was for or what it was called. It was a very long object that was used, I imagine, to cover objects so that they were out of sight while in the rear of the vehicle. I was always having to take it out and put it back in.

I love the vehicle's stability and reliability. It is ample, and comfortable making it great for longer trips and commute to work, The design is quite nice and the interior color is to my liking. It has both a CD player and a cassette player, which is important to me personally. The vehicle looks sleek, newer than its manufacture date, and has had little mechanical trouble over more than a decade with regular maintenance. I have received a lot of value out of this vehicle.
Story
Once I went off-roading about 20 miles away from home. While the car certainly was not built for this, it held its own and came back in one piece. A fun night indeed.
Pros
The pros of this vehicle are the ample space and leg room; good working air conditioner and nifty gadgets; reliability and durability; sleek design and sharp paint job, quality parts and a high safety rating.
Cons
The Cons of this vehicle are a little less apparent than the pros but include the following: Low gas mileage in both highway and city areas. Manufacture defect in sway bars that should have been recalled and replaced twice over the course of the ownership of the vehicle.

When my husband and I purchased our vehicle, I was in love with it! Down to the color, the extra space for our 5 month old and overall look of the vehicle. After 3 weeks though, our backup camera started messing up and when going under 20mph the vehicle felt like it was hopping. Come to find out, our new vehicle to us was on its 4th transmission. Nissan's CVT transmissions apparently have a bad rap for being cheap and prone to malfunctioning. After 2 more transmissions we're installed within a 4 week period, our vehicle was back to new. If I could do it over, I would have looked further into reviews and complaints and triple checked what exactly "transmission checked" meant on Carfax. Other then these issues, I do love my car so long as it drives good.
Story
Brought my miracle baby girl home in it from the hospital.
Pros
The color and overall look is what drew me to this vehicle. It was slightly upgraded with powered seats, dual air conditioner controllers, back heat and air and a backup camera.
Cons
Bad transmissions, no garage door opener, no key fob charger, trunk hatch is super short.
