My Nissan Pathfinder is great! It is white with four doors. It has an automatic transmission, four-wheel drive, and overall it handles great for an SUV of its size. When it snows, I can put it in four-wheel drive and power over mounds of snow. I was in jam once and needed to turn my truck around quickly before cars came at me. I was able to stop on a dime, throw the car in reverse, and pull out into traffic before the other cars even reached me. I was surprised that an SUV of this size could move so quickly. It is also pretty good on gas for an SUV. It is very reliable. I've had it for over 10 years, and I have not had to have much work done on it except routine oil changes, new batteries, and new brakes. There is only one out of the ordinary fix that I needed. The check engine light c... (more)
Story
One time I came home from vacation, and it had snowed kind of hard. When I went to pull into my parking space, I couldn't get in because there was a mound of snow there. After trying two or three times with no success, I remembered that I have four-wheel drive on my truck. I threw it into four-wheel drive and drove right over the snow like I was going up a mountain. I was able to park the truc... (more)
Pros
It is very reliable and low maintenance. This SUV has great maneuverability. it is really good for long road trips because it is comfortable, rides well, and it is really good on gas on highways for an SUV.
Cons
Being an SUV, itt sits up kind of high. It is hard to wash if I try to do it myself.

The 2008 Nissan Pathfinder has been a very dependable vehicle in spite of one manufacturer defect. The design of the transmission and the radiator led to the contamination of transmission fluid by radiator fluid. This required the transmission to be replaced. This defect was discovered after the manufacturers warranty had expired; however, Nissan realized it was a manufacturer's defect and replaced the transmission under warranty. Apart from that defect, the vehicle has run well and has been very dependable. It has approximately 150,000 miles and apart from normal routine maintenance. The vehicle has had no mechanical issues. There was one other issue which will be discussed under cons. The interior still looks fairly new as the carpets and upholstery has maintained its color and look.... (more)
Story
We have used this to tow our small camper to the Sierra Nevada mountains. The vehicle handled well while towing, and we were able to navigate the mountain roads and even snowy roads.
Pros
It has good towing power and has been very dependable. The exterior and interior still look fairly new, and the engine has no unusual noises or leaks. It is large and able to hold seven people. The seat mechanisms work well, and it has a good amount of storage capacity.
Cons
Besides the issue with the engine and transmission, the only other issue was been with some of the plastic engine cowling parts which have broken off. However, this has not affected the operation of the vehicle. The mileage is about 15 MPG, which seems to be normal for this type of vehicle, however it is a little low.
