2017 Nissan Pathfinder - Satisfied with my Nissan Pathfinder
I drove 4WD pickup trucks for many years, most recently a RAM. I approached the move into an SUV with some trepidation but have found the Pathfinder to be a pretty good alternative. Though not as powerful as the RAM HEMI, it's powerful enough, and that's all one can ask for.
Story
My four-year-old granddaughter likes to see out the windshield when we are driving from her backseat car seat. The headrests are easily removed and replaced so I can accommodate her when my wife is not sitting next to me up front. One morning early on Interstate 69 she yelled out, "Deer!," and I immediately braked and missed the kamikaze deer that I had failed to see.
Pros
The six-cyl. engine provides get-u-and-go when required, and the gas mileage is astonishing compared to my usual pickup trucks. The automatic 4WD system has handled our Midwest winters pretty well, switching between 2WD and 4WD immediately as required. The stereo system is excellent and the seating above expectations. The backseat is spacious and is easily slid forward so the third row can be used. The third-row seat backs can be easily dropped to make the back storage space larger.
Cons
The Bluetooth system is a little clunky and difficult to pair with my iPhone.
2017 Nissan Pathfinder - 2017 Nissan Pathfinder SV
We bought this vehicle about five months ago because needed a three-row SUV. While some reviews didn't give it favorable ratings, we decided it fit our needs. We were right, the truck is very comfortable, has a lot of passenger space and cargo space. Even though it doesn't have leather seats, we have heated seats and heated steering wheel, which are great options. Also has the towing package. Build quality seems very good as there are no rattles or misaligned pieces. Overall, we have been very pleased with the truck.
Story
So far it was our first trip with it up to Cape Cod. Where changing my two year old son in the car and he decided to get up and walk around the back of it naked.
Pros
Heater seats, heated steering wheel, towing package, comfortable ride, large cargo space and passenger space, and flexible seating arrangements. Comfortable seats.
Cons
Gas mileage.
