When I bought the car originally, I was attracted to the fact that the option of having a third bench seat was available. Based on the research I had previously completed, I found that even with the high mileage that the car had at the time was not going to be an issue, as these cars will typically last for over 300k miles with ease. I also enjoyed the fact that there was a built in TV set for the kids to watch when we go on long road trips with the option of being able to watch movies. We also enjoy the fact that the car has proven its reliability time and time again. We have only had one major issue with the car and it was the stabilizer bars that have since been replaced. It has made many road trips and has never had an issue with various altitude changes. The kids have plen... (more)
Story
Our road trip to Colorado, we had fun looking at the mountains and seeing new sights.
Pros
The pros about this vehicle. The engine block has been very stable, even with oil changes being more infrequent as recommended. It always tells me when the car is low on oil and gas. It’s great when I have wiggle room to take care of getting gas into the car. It warms up quickly on cold days and defrosts the window in mere minutes. The sunroof is an awesome feature that we will open up on sunny days. It has an easy to lock system, where the driver door will unlock and lock all other doors present. The panic feature is nice, especially since I have had folks try to break into my car ... (more)
Cons
The cons about this car: The first thing we encountered with this vehicle was the lack of adjustability on the driver seat. It does not move forward or back, so both my husband and I have to lean the seat back in order to drive comfortably. The second issue we had was that the air conditioning unit stopped working within the first year, as the clutch in the compressor stopped working all together. It also has some starter issues, I have now replaced two starters due to lock up issues. The stabilizer bar was the major replacement, as it caused the vehicle to wobble anytime anyone was d... I ran into many troubles with my pathfinder. The calitic converter made noises. My spark plugs oftentimes went bad. My radio needed to be replaced along with the center console. The console was just ugly and I replaced it. The car drives good overall but much work to maintain.
Story
I drove for 4 hours with my girl and friends to Myrtle Beach. We all sat in the truck under a big bright moon and talked all night.
Pros
Four wheel drive is a must. Comfort is high in the Pathfinder. The price was very decent when you walk up with cash.
Cons
Many mechanical problems that seem to be ongoing. The main thing is that the four wheel drive tends to work when it wants to and the truck makes loud screechy noises.
