2011 Nissan Pathfinder - Great car
After driving this car for 8 months, the climate control is still confusing, specifically as it relates to rear controls. The screen at the top of the dash, which appears to be navigation is nothing more than a big screen to display radio station and climate control info. Personally I think it is a waste of space and not at all functional, since it is not touch screen. The audio and climate controls are not in a convenient spot.
Story
Folding Three-Row Seating
The Pathfinder converts quickly and easily from seven-passenger troop transport to cavernous cargo hauler.
Bose Audio
With its ten speakers, including two powerful subwoofers, this system may not literally be able to blow the doors off the Pathfinder, but it sure feels like it.
Pros
Provides adequate, but not overwhelming, acceleration. Power is routed through a continuously variable transmission, which some reviewers find slow to respond when more power is needed. The Pathfinder achieves up to 20/26 mpg city/highway, which is fairly good for the class.
Cons
Because of its truck-based underpinnings, the Pathfinder doesn’t have the smoothest ride and it doesn’t get great fuel economy. The Pathfinder comes with either a V6 or V8 engine, but reviewers noted that the available V8 is powerful and good for towing. The Pathfinder’s reliability rating is lower than most other 2011 midsize SUVs.
2011 Nissan Pathfinder - Happy.
I have been pretty happy with this vehicle. It could be better on gas but otherwise it has been a good car for our family of 5, soon to be 6. I love that it is big but doesn't feel to big when driving. Handling is great in the snowy winters of NY.
Story
Taken it on family vacations many times and it has been very reliable. Never had any issues while traveling. It had enough room to sit everyone comfortable including car seats and luggage.
Pros
Fits our family of 5 comfortably car seats and all. Great for the NY winters. Feels safe. Has not given any major problems.
Cons
Could be better on gas mileage.
