What I favor about the Nissan Pathfinder is how spacious it is. It is great for road trips, plenty of room in the back to put the seats down if someone wants to nap on the ride. The interior is very appealing and comfortable. The vehicle has a strong and powerful look to it. I like that I sit higher up behind the wheel than I would in a car so I have a better view of the road. It has 4 wheel drive which comes in handy in the winter months which are long in my area. Plenty of places in the front and back to charge phones, etc. I feel safe when I drive this vehicle. The only con I can think of is the gas mileage is not the best but overall it is a vehicle that is more than dependable, it gives a feeling of prestige when driving and a feeling of "owning the road". The vehicle is easy to c... (more)
Story
Where my husband works there is a deep ravine with a stream that runs along side the road. My husband would put it in 4 wheel drive and we would go down the ravine and come up on the road. It was more fun than it sounds. A little scary sometimes, but fun.
Pros
The overall look of the vehicle is great. It's spacious and comfortable. Great for road trips. The 4 wheel drive is a must have in this part of the country for me.
Cons
There is only one negative thing about this vehicle and that is that it does not get the best gas mileage.

I have owned many Nissans and continue to have great experiences with each one. Currently, I own a Sentra and a Pathfinder. The Pathfinder was purchased specifically because of its great tow capacity for makes 2012 and prior. Newer ones appeared to have lower tow capacities at the time I was researching them (Approximately early 2014). I have driven this vehicle in all types of weather and have been happy with it from torrential rain to snow and ice; it always performs well. The interior has three rows of seating and is comfortable in all seats for me. I always look at seating comfort, because I am tall and this vehicle seats comfortable people with longer legs. The vehicle has great response when the gas pedal is depressed and has a lot more "pick-up" than I was expecting. The fa... (more)
Story
I have taken this vehicle on weeklong camping expeditions for concert festivals. I was able to easily pack everything necessary for four people for a week camping in a field with no access to water or electricity. I charged my phone using the rear plug that is behind the third row. This vehicle packs a LOT of stuff, because it is so incredibly spacious.
Pros
I have had this vehicle for approximately 50,000 miles and have not experienced any issues but have maintained it well. I made sure to get all of the necessary maintenance at 60k miles. The second row of seats are able to adjust forward and backwards, so you are not sitting in a tight up and down position. I don't tend to notice this feature on a lot of true SUVs. The vehicle handles all types of driving conditions extremely well.
Cons
The Pathfinder averages around 17 mpg. That is literally the only con I can list as I have not experienced other issues.
