I loved my 2010 Rogue so much that I leased another in 2013. The SL trim level has almost every option I could want. I love the radio/Bluetooth phone controls on the steering wheel, and the heated front seats are a nice feature in the cold weather. The CVT transmission offers a smooth ride. I have approximately 25,000 miles on the vehicle and besides regular maintenance, I've only had to purchase new tires.
Story
One winter, I was driving up a small hill in my neighborhood. Other cars were slightly struggling to navigate in the poor weather, but I had no problem. I felt bad as I cruised right past some other drivers who were unable to get enough momentum to go uphill in snow.
Pros
I absolutely love the CVT transmission because I never feel the car shift. The size of the vehicle is perfect, I can fit two bicycles in the back of the vehicle with the back seats folded down. The all-wheel drive makes the car perfect for the winter with ice and snow.
Cons
I worry about the wells at the sides of the car by the rear wheel rusting over time with debris hitting the car. Also, the SL trim level has every option, yet it does not play music via Bluetooth. If there is Bluetooth phone capabilities, I should be able to play music too!

I love Nissan, and I like this car. But I do not like the Nissan Rogue SL transmission. We were approaching our warranty end with the transmission, when we started having problems. During a cross country road trip, we noticed the vehicle began to act funny after it had been driving for a while. The vehicle has never done well at elevation. It makes a whining noise that is very annoying. We assumed it was just the elevation of the area taking a toll on the transmission. We were in Colorado. By the time we got to the south where it was hot, the vehicle continued to go into limp mode. We would have to pull off and wait for it to cool down. We finally got it to a shop, and it took over a week to repair. We were on vacation so it was a real damper. It was all covered by warranty but we are ... (more)
