2003 Pontiac Grand Am - It's an okay first car.

The car itself is underwhelming, and it looks faster than it is. The interior is gray on gray, but everything works. The car has had engine cooling problems in the past, and the AC was broken for about 3 years. When she works she works, and I really can't complain.
Story
My friends and I used to go hiking in a "restricted" desert area, and we would take my car. It was really fun to drive sideways on the sloping walls of the road we were on.
Pros
It is a good learning car and first car, but not much else.
Cons
Lots of maintenance needed to be done and I remain unconvinced of its reliability. The interior is falling apart at the seams, with plastic curling and crackings, and the dome light falling out.

Overall the Pontiac Grand AM isn't the worst car in the world. This car has literally taken me everywhere from driving on a legit beach to driving through some heavy snow. I even used this car to tow my father in law's brand new 2018 Dodge Ram out of a mud pit! This car has been pretty decent as a family car and the back seats are very spacious due to them being bucket style seats. It has A LOT of power for an old sedan style vehicle, 6 horsepower. I originally bought this car used and the interior was in decent condition as well as the car itself. I have owned this car for 3 years now and have kept up with the basic maintenance as well as putting on new tires, and have not had any engine issues whatsoever! The heat and the AC work beautifully and I will be sad when I no longer own thi... (more)
Story
We took a drive up into the mountains in the middle of winter, and we almost turned around because of the heavy snowfall but my car did not have a single issue getting through the snow safely!
Pros
The large back seat, lots of room up front, sun-roof, automated locks and windows, large trunk, can get up to speed very fast (sometimes you feel like you're in a sports car), large gas tank, comfortable for long distance drives, very reliable.
Cons
It is common for the window motor to go out on an old vehicle like this with electric windows, expensive to fuel up due to large gas tank, not the greatest on fuel economy, difficult to fit a car seat in appropriately, they no longer make tires for this vehicle, no navigation system, cassette player -- no CD player or audio jack.
