I really enjoy driving around in my 2005 Grand Am GT1. It offers a smooth ride and is actually pretty quick, even with 113,000 miles on it. It doesn't cost much to drive this car; from its gas mileage to buying replacement parts, it's cost efficient. Although it is a thrifty ride to own, it was built with quality that you can even feel when shutting the doors.
Story
One time I wanted to see how fast my car would go, so I held the gas pedal down until it wouldn't go any faster. It topped out at 120 MPH.
Pros
The 3.4L 175hp engine gives this car enough pep to pass all of the slow drivers on the road! The design is sporty, equipped with a sunroof, fog lights, and a spoiler. For a compact car, it is also roomy, allowing sufficient leg room for both front and back passengers simultaneously.
Cons
Although there is enough leg room, the vehicle is short, making it a tight fit for anybody taller than average height. I'm 5' 10" and fit fine, but if I were any taller, I might say otherwise. The stock radio is pretty basic, although it can be swapped out for an aftermarket one. There is also no dipstick for checking/adding transmission fluid, making the task a tedious one. Also, the fuel tank is small, so even though the fuel economy is good, I have to frequently stop for gas.

My vehicle has held up remarkably well throughout all weather types and situations. I have had no issues with performance except for a small engine trouble which was easily resolved. The exterior of the car has begun to rust but it is purely an aesthetic problem, not performance-related. Also, the rearview mirrors have broken off, but that too was due to owner error, not structure-related.
Story
I once had a race with how fast the defroster could melt the ice off of my front window.
Pros
This car gets amazing gas mileage and has an awesome cruise control option. I find myself paying less for gas and being able to go further on any gas purchase compared to previous cars. I also love the trunk space and removable bottom of the trunk, allowing me to hide things from prying eyes or thieves.
Cons
The worst thing about the car is the cloth interior. It stains so easily and I would have much preferred leather or some other type of fabric. Also, the back seat seems very cramped at times. I rarely ride in the back seat and am fairly short, but on the few times I have, my legs have been squished. One other thing that is a nuisance is that the car burns through oil - needing an oil change much more frequently than recommended for best performance.
