This car was previously owned and then purchased by a grandparent, who passed it on to me. The car has 100,000+ miles on it and still going strong. I have never had any significant issues with it, and it drives exceptionally well in bad weather. I use it as my primary mode of transportation and drive it to and from college with plenty of room in the hatchback for moving my things. I replaced the radio and speakers to an updated model because the old one was starting to not work, but otherwise I am okay with the interior. The seats are not super comfortable for long distances, but the interior is large enough to fit myself and several friends. As far as gas, the tank fits about 13 gallons and lasts for about a 4 1/2 - 5 hour drive. The exterior is typical Subaru - blue and grey coloring... (more)
Story
I've gone on plenty of road trips and day trips with friends in this car. It has a good amount of space and seats five (including myself) comfortably. When needed, we have fit a friend into the hatchback for short drives.
Pros
This car handles well in weather, and is also good for moving or taking long trips. There are heated front seats, which are nice in cold weather.
Cons
The car doesn't travel as far as I would like on one tank of gas, but the distance covered is not bad compared to other cars.

The Subaru outback is a reliable vehicle that can last a long time. You often hear the brand is good well to 300,000 miles. This is true as long as you keep up with routine maintenance. The biggest plus with this vehicle is that it allows you to do well in winter weather. I wouldn't chance it in deep snow, but if you really had to and had some momentum you could do okay to a point. The biggest issue with this car is that it doesn't do that well going up a hill, although it does get pretty good gas mileage. I routinely get around 28 highway, and you can't beat that in an all-wheel drive vehicle. The space in the vehicle for carrying and storage isn't bad considering the large area in the hatchback. The rack on top of the car is rather handy as well. Around the first hundred thousand mil... (more)
Story
I have taken this car hunting and it's been great getting around and up to the trail to get into the woods.
Pros
Gas mileage, reliability, good in snow.
Cons
Low power going uphill, expensive fixes at 100,00 mile mark, lower to ground.
