Overall, I like the vehicle. It looks good and is not too wacky with shape/colors. Car is good for shorter female driver. Car offers good field of view and panels do not obscure vision. Smooth shifting. Very smooth, sedan like ride. Radio display was scratched at the dealership. Dealership did terrible job prepping car. Salesman spent very little time teaching me about the features/buttons on the car.
Story
Being able to drive down a not well-maintained road full of large deep ruts and potholes and not getting stuck plowing through snow drifts.
Pros
I like the higher height of the car so that it will not get hung up on snow. The wagon style allows for tons of cargo space when the seats are folded down. The seats fold down very easily via 2 levers in the trunk area. It was well thought out. The roof rack crossbeams being able to fold is a nice detail. Great gas mileage. Good power for a 4 cylinder vehicle. I like the features on the premium trim. Namely, the side view mirror has lights that light up the side of the car at night. The side view mirrors auto dim as well as the rearview mirror. Seats are comfortable.
Cons
The heating controls in the vents are very strange. When you select the picture for the vents to blow down only at the feet, it will continue to blow at the windshield defrost and feet, even though there is a selection to specifically blow defrost and feet at the same time. The floor well does not get warm enough. Customer service at the dealership leaves much to be desired. I've had to take my car in multiple times for same issues. Not enough cubbies and storage space near driver's side. Bluetooth does not communicate well with android phone as is glitchy. Headrest not comfortable. Car ha... (more)

2017 Subaru Outback - The smoothest ride in all 4 seasons.

This car is incredible. It's the smoothest ride I've ever had - the suspension is great. I live in a major city and we deal with potholes every year. And the last two years, I've barely felt them. I do actively try to avoid them, but sometimes you cant. And with how tall the car sits off the ground, it makes jumping hurdles great. Need to travel over a dirt road? No problem. Got to hop a curb in order to bust a U-turn to get out of traffic? Have done that with no issues. Need to hook up something to the roof of your car? It already comes with a system for that. I'm the go to guy when friends and family want to buy Christmas trees and have them delivered to their house
Story
I hate shoveling snow, and we had an 8 inch snowstorm that I just drove right over and through getting out of my parking spot. The car didn't even buckle.
Pros
I love the interior lighting. Also really like how sleek the car looks, and the look of the trimming.
Cons
Not a lot of stuff included in the basic model. Wish that side detection and remote start came standard.
