I love everything about this car. It's exterior is sleek and visually appealing, with just the right amount of chrome trim. I have had this vehicle for 12 years and it shows no signs of rust or exterior damage. The inside is just as great. This model has leather, heated seats which are essential in Illinois winters! The dash and interior door panels have held up great! Also, the vehicle runs like a charm! I have had NO engine or major running component issues, and the car is now at 150,000 miles.
Story
I have used this vehicle on several vacations to go on road trips with my two medium-sized dogs. They both rode in the back seat and had plenty of room, along with my luggage!
Pros
My favorite features are the comfortable leather seats and adjustable seat warmers. I also really enjoy the ample amount of leg room in both the front and rear seats. I am 6' tall and have no problem with space sitting anywhere in the vehicle.
Cons
The only negative thing I have to note about this vehicle is that occasionally there are some rattling noises that seem to come from the dashboard air vents. This in no way has impacted how the vents function, but it is a small worry that there may be some underlying issue.

What I like about my truck is the style. I like the leather interior and the comfort of the seats. I like the dashboard gauges that are easy to read even at night. The feel of the steering wheel while driving. I like the sounds system. I like the speakers that generate a clean smooth sound when playing either my favorite jazz or blues music. I like the handling while driving while on the open road. I like the power windows. I like the way it gives me more leverage to see while driving. I like the economy of the gas being that it's a 4.0 engine. I like my gold color that stands out. I like my alarm system when it beeps twice instead of once upon locking the doors. I like when the light illuminate below the side mirrors for extra security and vision. I like the quietness it has for whene... (more)

Not yet, just breaking myself in to her. It's my very first SUV ever. Strange thing though, for a vehicle with over 230,000 miles on it she sure runs good and looks great.
Pros
My favorite features are the way the lights stay on after leaving the vehicle and upon entering. It's a great security device that would help guard against theft. And the alarm system as well. I like the sound system which is important to a man my age. I love music. I also like the way the rear opens in two different ways. Makes loading and unloading easy. I love the power heated seats even though I don't need the heat because I'm in the south, it's good to have just in case I may travel to the Midwestern states. My ex girlfriend had an 1998 Explorer and she had so many problems with it an... (more)
Cons
The thing I dislike the most is when an oxygen sensor goes out. When I had my truck repaired after I purchased it. The mechanic told me that there were a total of four located on the truck and he had to determine which one or how many where bad. Thank God it was only one which cost me $200 to repair. Yes I had a good and reasonable mechanic. Other than that, she was sound with no more problems at all. The fact that I will have to change tires after 25,000 miles of driving gets me but it'll be a long time overdue. So I try not to drive it as much and the door open light comes on sometimes e...
