Our FJ Cruiser is one of the best cars we have ever owned. We live in a very snowy area and never get stuck during the winter with it's 4WD options and the higher frame keeps us from bottoming out on snow banks (like the one at the end of the driveway that builds up). It is pretty comfortable for traveling and has decent cargo space with the option to put more on top with the roof rack. The only things we dislike about the car are the suicide doors which make it difficult to get into the back seat if someone parks too close and the fact that car seats are hard to fit into the back for children. Once the child is forward facing it gets easier, but rear facing is almost impossible and more than one car seat is an even bigger challenge. The seats and floor mats etc. Are very easy to clean... Story
Our best times in the car usually happen when we bring the dog and our toddler is happy and we head out somewhere to find a swimming spot, or go hiking. Road trips are also pretty fun!
Pros
We like the style and design and that it came with a nice XM radio console right in the car. It has enough cupholders and the driver side dashboard storage is pretty nice too. The cargo area is decently roomy and the 4wd and power it has keep us from getting stuck in the winter. Everything is very washable and easy to keep clean.
Cons
The suicide doors make entry into the backseat difficult and the car is slightly too small from front to back to fit car seats easily. Either special, more expensive, seats need to be used or the rear facing seat needs to go into the middle otherwise the front riders knees are in the dashboard (we are 5'6 and 5'8... So pretty short and we still could not put our Graco car seat behind the front passenger spot). Also...The only other negative is the lights do not ding or beep when you leave them on and get out of the car. That would be nice but it is minimal.

This is a great car for the money. But, in my experience, Toyota builds the best vehicles available. I have 58,000 miles and have not had one issue, mechanical or body. It is sporty looking and has a lot of pep. Easy to maneuver, and because you sit up higher, it makes it easy to see what is a head of you in the road.
Story
It goes over curbs very easily when you see the freeway is backed up and you want to turn around and go the other way.
Pros
Pros are visibility and style. This vehicle has comfortable seats and seating for five. There is plenty of storage in the back for transporting (I've loaded bicycles in the back of mine). The back seats fold down for additional room. The interior is easy to maintain because it is completely built to be waterproof. If you like to drive in sand dunes, this vehicle is diffidently the truck for this. The dash gauges are easy to read, and the hands-free Bluetooth makes it comfortable to talk on the phone or listen to music.
Cons
The cons are fuel efficiency. It averages about 17 MPG on highway. Maybe 15 in the city. The stereo system could be better. For what you pay for the car, it wouldn't have hurt to have a couple of speakers in the rear of the vehicle. The backseat is there and will seat three, but no one would want to sit back there for very long. It is very limited space.
