What I like about the car is how smooth the driving is. If I go over a bump, I don't feel it in the slightest. I liked the look of the car immediately when I saw my cousin's Highlander. My Highlander is just a different color. I love the color maroon so that is what I picked out. The seats are very comfortable in it and plush. The room is great for my family and for a couple of my kids friends. There is more than ample room for grocery shopping, etc. I have not taken the car into the shop once yet except to have an oil change done. I just bought the SUV in June of last year so it is fairly still new. It drives like a dream. The car I had previously I felt every bump you went over, not so with this SUV. Fantastic is the only way I can describe how well it is to drive it. Braking, accele... (more)
Story
Our local drive-in theater closed at the end of this past summer, unfortunately. My husband and I took our kids to the theater in the vehicle and had a grand time watching outdoor movies sitting in it.
Pros
How easy it is to manipulate the SUV. This is my first SUV ever and I always thought it would be like driving a tank. Not at all. I also like the gas mileage it gets. It gets 20 city/25 hwy. Not bad for a SUV in my opinion. I also like that I haven't had any maintenance problems with it yet. Except for an oil change, all is good. The fact that it is comfortable and there is a lot of room is a big plus. I don't feel cramped in it at all. When I take my son to soccer practice I can actually pick up quite a few of his friends on the way. With my other car I was unable to do that. When the roa... (more)
Cons
One con is that because of it's size, I can't fit my other vehicle into the garage so I have to keep that one outside. A second con is the parking spaces in store parking lots. Not in all of them, but in some stores where they are stingy in parking space, if there is not enough room to just back out, you have to kind of maneuver a few times to get out. In our city, stealing cars is getting to be a problem and I fear because the car is new and looks so appealing that I will come out of a store and it will be gone. Even with great theft protection, professional thieves here are still able to... (more)
