When I test drove the TL back in 2008, I instantly feel in love with, and I had to have it. I wasn't able to purchase it back then, but as soon as I had the money to purchase a car, this is the look I was mainly looking for. I loved the smoothness of the ride. It felt so smooth that I going faster than I thought I was. The quality of the car is awesome. I haven't any major problems with the car at all, just the regular maintenance type of things. Another thing I love about the car is the wheels that came with the car. It wasn't the stock type-S wheels. It was the upgrade A-spec wheels—another thing that distanced itself from the regular cars. I prefer to keep my car with factory equipment, so this was a perfect match for me. One dislike about the car is that I wish it there was... (more)
Story
I just remember taking my friend on a ride in the car and punching the gas, and he was surprised by how fast the car was.
Pros
A positive thing I liked about the car was its looks. It had a sweet, futuristic look to it. The quad exhaust was definitely my favorite thing about the car. It makes the car look different from the regular TLs. It also had the two-tone interior colors. I just didn't want my car to look tike the regular TLs, and this car looked different from the regular TLs. Another thing was the Bluetooth headset. This was before Bluetooth became a required item in every car, and it was sort of rare back then. The navigation was another positive thing about the car, not that I was ever lost, but t... (more)
Cons
It is just out of date tech-wise now. The lack of Bluetooth audio (music) is one of my major gripes about this car. My other car has this option, and I've become used to it, and it's super annoying to have to plug your phone into the AUX outlet every single time you get into the car, and you can't change the songs or anything using the steering wheels. So you have to pick up your phone and try to change the song manually, and it's just not a good mixture of things to do while driving. Also, the audio selection doesn't pop up the navigation screen, and it's just another distraction whi... (more)

Overall, the 2007 TL is an excellent car. It is very reliable. Mine just passed 100k miles and it runs great. It has only needed regular maintenance. The design is almost 10 years old, but it still looks pretty modern and fits in today. The car has a nice, leather interior. The driver's seat is not the most comfortable in my opinion due to it being stiff. And a downside of the leather seats is that they reach high temperatures when parked outside in the sun. The car has Bluetooth, aux port, GPS, backup camera, and voice commands. The voice commands do not work well at all due to it being a 2007. Additionally, the GPS navigation system and touchscreen are not too good either due to their age. Backup camera works great and the screen is nice and big. The car is nice on the road. Pretty q... Story
I drove out to West Virginia and went on some of the back roads. The speed limit for these roads is higher than it should be. The car took the bumps and sharp turns really well. It felt a little bit dangerous, but I felt in control the whole time. The suspension really shined during this trip.
Pros
The sporty feel is there if that's what you're looking for. The backup camera is nice. Quiet ride and good acceleration. Very reliable. A/C and heat work well. Seats and interior are good quality. Trunk is really big and can easily fit 3 sets of golf clubs.
Cons
I find the seats to not be the most comfortable. Recommended premium gas, but you can use regular just fine. GPS and voice commands are not too good. Tires are really expensive.
