2009 Acura TL - A very nice and dependable luxury sedan
This is a car I've wanted for a long time, and I'm so glad I bought one. With a sleek body style that stands out and performance that is hard to beat, I made a great decision. The natural leather seats in all black are comfortable for a short trip to work and comfortable for a long haul. I don't have to worry about the seat being too cold in winter, as both front seats have warmers. I can fit 4 passengers comfortably, and have fit more than that in, as it is very roomy inside. The trunk is big, too. I can fit up to 4 people's luggage with room to spare for an emergency kit. There is a spare under the flap, just in case. As a luxury sedan, it is very safe, and I'm fine with having my young children in the back. The gas mileage for a 6 cylinder is pretty great, at approximately 26 mpg hi... (more)
Story
My family and I have taken several trips together in the car.
Pros
The top positive things are the seat warmers, the big engine, the sporty design, the leather/wood trim inside, and the safety features
Cons
It was kind of expensive, there are cars with better mpg that perform similarly, it is an older model, the paint dulls if you don't keep it washed all the time, and the navigation is outdated.
2009 Acura TL - Great entry to luxury cars.
My car is black with tan leather. I love the paint job on this car. The factory gloss is still there. I love the quality of the interior. The leather is intact. The engine sounds strong, and the on-board computer keeps me informed of maintenance and up keep. Features paddle shifts on the steering wheel. Moon roof. Bluetooth. Satellite radio.
Story
Everyone is shocked to know it's almost ten years old. It's my first luxury car, so all my friends are happy and impressed. They assume I've a fortune because they assume the car is closer to three years old than eight.
Pros
This car is very responsive. A slight turn on the steering wheel will shift the car in the desired direction. Slight pressure on the gas pedal will accelerate. The shift pedals on the steering wheel come in handy when needing to quickly pick up the pace or quickly break. Overall, this car performs well in traffic, highway, and city driving. The cruise control is very responsive.
Cons
The ride is pretty rough. With the original shocks still in place, I feel every little bump on the road. Including the small lane reflectors on the road. The wheel well does not leave enough space for bigger rims. The subwoofer is of low quality. Sensors on bumper do not work. Emblem on steering wheel is worn out; paint has chipped. Center console cover for cup holders is broken; normal wear and tear.
