I really like that this car looks so nice. even though it is older, the body is stylish and the interior is luxurious. The performance is excellent and the car handle very well. The car is most definitely well build and is a standard of "German engineering". For example, the car is virtually sound proof where exterior sound is concerned. There are issues with the electrical system that seem to be "known issues". For example, the door lock fuses seem to get blown repeatedly.
Story
Actually, one of my best memories was of a conversation I was having with a friend that drives a Volvo. He was pointing out the "turbo" on his car and asked if I had one. I told him, "Of course not. I have a BMW. It's always turbo."
Pros
I really love that the car handles and performs so well. On the road, I don't think anyone can out-accelerate me. The car is also beautiful and is that, unique BMW jet black. I beige leather interior is fantastic. Also, since this is an older vehicle, the cash purchase price was not to extremely high which is an awesome perk.
Cons
Having said all that, I have had issues with the vehicle. It uses only premium gasoline and is not a "gas sipper". Fill-ups and daily driving can get expensive. Of course, if you can't fill the car, you probably shouldn't own it. Additionally, you pay a premium for regular maintenance.

If you haven't driven in a BMW, get out to a dealer today. This car has incredible handling and is a driving pleasure. While other luxury car makes put all their money into the interior, BMW finds a perfect blend between a responsive drive and classy design. The engine is impeccable and while maintenance will cost a bit more than other cars, this has both reliability and performance. As long as you put effort into using synthetic oil and premium gas, I see no reason not to expect a long life out of a BMW.
Story
Driving in tight corners is a pleasure with this car. Don't take the highway if you know some back roads to drive it.
Pros
Excellent engine Accessible oil maintenance for a European car. Comfortable and good looking interior. An iPod cable that connects to the speaker IN A 2006 CAR. That was very rare back in the day.
Cons
The suspension isn't the greatest for an AWD car. While other AWD cars such as Land Rovers might be able to go off road, this one will not. It doesn't pretend to be an off-road car, but it'll do the job in the snow. Going around a city with a bunch of potholes isn't the most pleasant experience either.
