Escalade: A stylish car with several limitations
The Cadillac Escalade (2013) is one fine looking vehicle and made with some of the most polished design and engineering implementations available. It has several of the best features, can cruise fast through urban and suburban environments, and is a vesicle that will make your friends and neighbors Impressed. Sadly, the praise stops there and does not continue for the other aspects of the vehicle. Its gas retention is very poor, making you likely to be 2-3x more likely to stop at a station, assuming you have a daily work/shopping/family commute of at least 1-2 hours a day. Its handling on ice and rain is abysmal unless your order third-party tires. Its engine tires out way too soon, and the electronic features on the dashboard such as digital radio, visual GPS, and other features will likely make you replace the battery at least once a year minimum. To make matters worse, the car looks good but its durability and armor is horrible. A slight mild crash that doesn't do too much damage but rapidly jerks the vehicle for only a short time could disable or break many components. Heavy snow that may fall on the car could eventually throw in enough water to reach certain parts of the internals.

My Escalade is an awesome baby.
I find my 2013 Cadillac Escalade EXT to be pretty awesome. It's a luxury truck with lots of grit and personality. It's a well-made vehicle for my money. I bought her used, a few years back and have had no issues of note. The previous owner took great care of and extended some aesthetic and performance customization to, because of that I feel that my truck is even better than the standard. I have put many miles on this thing, and it runs smoothly even with added stress, like temperature, minor to moderate flooding, bad gas, or towing heavy. Cadillac is a high-quality brand that I have some faith in for good reason. She is more than a few years old, and she runs like new, is still very comfortable to drive, maintains all her faculties and is always reliable no matter the challenge. The fuel efficiency is hit or miss though, depending on various stressors. But for everyday, around town, stop and go traffic it's fine, I suppose. Overall, my Cadillac Escalade is a jewel to me, be it long-distance travel or running neighborhood errands. And because of the body style being a crew cab, it has also helped me to be a hero in moving furniture for family and friends.
