My favorite thing about my 2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali is the amount of space in it. My wife and I have two children and two large dogs. We are able to fit all of us in the car with plenty of space. The third row is great for when we take additional people in the car like friends or family. Even with the third row up, there is still plenty of room in the truck to haul various items. When I am doing home improvement projects, I can always get large and long items from the hardware store with ease. We are in that market for a camper, and the 8,200 towing capacity will make towing a reasonably sized trailer very simple. We also have stand up paddle boards that we strap to the roof. With the long roof-line, there is much less wind resistance on the boards since they are 12-feet, 6-inc... (more)
Story
We love to take the kids and dogs to the local lake, and the long body of the car allows for ease of transporting our stand-up paddle boards and also has plenty of space inside to take the dogs and all the gear to do so.
Pros
6.3 L V8 engine has some serious power and towing capability. With the huge engine, it has a strong sound that I like. The interior is beautiful with the wood grain and leather. The heated steering wheel and heated seats are awesome in the winter time.
Cons
The gas mileage is not great, but if you know that going into it, you just deal with it. It can be difficult to park if you are not used to the size.

The Yukon XL is everything you need in a family vehicle without being a minivan (thank goodness!). Its size alone makes it comfortable and practical for larger families or just those that like to ride in comfort. It's beautifully styled and oozes luxury from end to end.
Story
On a recent road trip where we were following some other family members, my sisters kids ended up in our Yukon because they wanted to watch the DVD player with my kids. They all got to enjoy Moana, and we were excited to have a vehicle large enough to hold everyone.
Pros
There's not a single feature I feel like I'm doing without. From the heated leather seats to the moonroof and premium speakers...it's everything you could need. It's roomy enough for the entire family and has ample cargo space. I've never had a vehicle where I haven't had to sacrifice what I could bring along on a trip so that we could fit the whole family. The size of the Yukon XL also lends to a feeling of safety while you're driving, which is so important when the kids are onboard.
Cons
The only thing I wasn't prepared for was the poor gas mileage. I suppose it's to be expected with any large SUV, especially with such a large towing-capable engine, but I didn't expect it to be quite as costly as it is.
