I love my big car, which allows plenty of room for my family to sprawl out. The extra room in the Denali allows me to be able to carpool other kids to sports and in turn I can have a rare night off. Other than parking, I love my big safe car and feel comfortable and confident driving it. I always tell my friends that if anything happens to this car, I would buy another used one exactly like it. They totally hold their value so the used option is the best way to go, in my opinion.
Story
Since I’m relatively short, my friends and neighbors fondly refer to my car as “Big B,” which is short for behemoth because it is so large compared to my small size. Everyone gets a kick when they see Big B coming down the road.
Pros
The extra room in the Denali allows me to be able to carpool other kids to sports, and in turn, I can have a rare night off. Not only is there plenty of room for passengers but all of our sports and travel gear too. I can easily fit two kayaks inside as well as my kids. Once we were rear ended by two cars which were totaled, but my Yukon only had a small dent the size of a tennis ball. I was the only one to be able to drive away with no injuries. My kids said they now have total trust in this car and know they are safe if we are ever in an accident again.
Cons
The only cons with this car is trying to park. I have a very hard time pulling into parking spaces with any confidence. I have also hit and scraped a few things while attempting to park. What’s even more difficult is parallel parking, especially on the right hand side. I have all but given up on parallel parking unless there are no cars in front or in back of me.

I love my XL. We have two high school-aged kids who are very active in sports and with their friends. We have four dogs that go a lot of places with us. We also have a boat and enjoy camping. She (the bus/Yukon) can pull the boat just fine. We can stuff her full of kids, luggage, dogs, kayaks (inside and out!) camping gear, shopping bags, furniture, etc. I've never had to say, "no, I can't fit it in my car."
Story
We took three dogs, two kayaks, myself, and my two kids and a friend for each to the beach for the day and we all fit.
Pros
Fits eight people. Easy to maintain. Big gas tank. Hauls fine. No mechanical issues yet. The seat configuration is easy to rearrange. The back seats can totally remove.
Cons
Cruddy gas mileage (12 mpg when pulling the boat).
