1999 GMC Yukon OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Appleton, Wisconsin
99 Yukon.
I’ve owned her for about six months. I like the on the fly shifting. My 98 Ram has locking diffs so you have to come to a complete stop to lock them and shift into 4wd. The Yukon has a button toggle allowing you to switch between auto, 2wd, 4wd hi and 4 lo. It’s bad on gas but it’s a comfortable SUV.

It was a good truck and very reliable until it started to break down on me.
The reason why I brought the vehicle is I love big trucks. I like sitting up high looking over the steering wheel of the truck. Looking down at other people while I'm driving. What I didn't like about my vehicle was how much it cost to put gas in it. I was spending about $80 bucks a week for a full tank of gas. I also put 26 inches rims on my truck and got a nice shiny paint job for mu truck to stand out from anyone else's. I was a female driving this nice truck everyone wanted to know who I was and wanted my truck. But what I didn't know at the time was by putting those rims on my truck without having my truck lifted would cause a lot of damages and that's exactly what happened. I think I brought an lemon from the dealership. I had the truck for four to six months when it started to have repair issues.

Very attractive, no so reliable.
I purchased this truck because I loved the style. This is a very attractive vehicle. It has a tough look to it. I really liked that it had 3rd row seats but although it's a large vehicle the room is really not very usable. It feels a bit cramped inside. The floor boards in the driver and passenger seats kind of slant outwards toward the door, so things in the floor tend to fall out when you open the door. This vehicle is very powerful and will tow almost anything. For a large SUV it is not at all slow. It is not very reliable in the mechanical since, I have had to make multiple repairs including replacing the transmission. This truck also gets very bad gas mileage and is very expensive to drive.
