I have owned my 2001 GMC Yukon for a year and a half. I have had a couple issues with it. We had to replace the driver side brake lines and the master cylinder. The only other thing we have had to deal with was the 4X4 when we first got it. The gears were worn and had to be replaced, and now this thing is amazing. 233,000+ miles on the engine. This thing is a beast! It goes great in the snow and it has yet to leave me stranded. It gets up and goes and has loads of power. My vehicle has more power than my boyfriend's 2007 Ford F150 and his has a 5.4 in it. He keeps trying to trade me, but there is no way. This is, by far, the best vehicle I have owned. However, the leather interior is cracked and has not held up. But the heated seats are an added bonus. I also love that it... (more)
Story
We used this to move and my boyfriend said I wouldn't be able to get much in it. I proved him wrong. I loaded it up from floor to ceiling & it didn't even squat. Moved an entire room with it. Our mini van was a different story. This thing has plenty of room. I love it!!!
Pros
My favorite things about this Yukon: It seats eight people, has heated front seats, and has plenty of room inside. The paint is still exceptional. It is a tank in the winter and it has never left me stranded. Very good on gas for an eight cylinder.
Cons
You cannot shut the headlights off. I have no other complaints about this vehicle.

I love that there is third-row seating and eight total seat belts. I get very good gas mileage considering the age and size. My kids love that they can have plenty of space between them and not be crammed together for long trips. I use the middle row for two rear-facing car seats. The seat is large enough to easily fit three in. I also use the back row for car seats and boosters. The outer seats in the middle row and the back seats in the third row have an anchor for forward facing seats but not for rear facing. I love that there are plug outlets in every row. An issue we've had with our vehicle is the air conditioner door has gotten stuck and wouldn't open for the heat to switch over to A/C. Another issue was that the transmission went out but was easily replaced. It took a bit of get... (more)
Story
When there was some flooding from rain after a drought, driving in the rain was much easier compared to smaller cars.
Pros
Some of my favorite features about this vehicle are the large, roomy seats; outlets in every row; and 4-wheel drive. The mpg is a big positive for me, too.
Cons
The biggest thing that I would change is that it's inconvenient to get into the third-row seating.
