I like the sporty design and spacious interior. It has great handling despite being a jeep. It has surprisingly good gas mileage. It comes well equipped for purchasing just a base model which I believe was very reasonably priced. Currently, at 56,000 miles with no issues at all. On the downside we purchased a 4 cylinder model which has very poor acceleration. Replacement parts also tend to be a bit more expensive as well.
Story
Just how much my daughter enjoys driving in the car. As a toddler she always mentions how much she loves driving in this thing.
Pros
I really like the look of the vehicle. It has a great look and feel to the interior. Features on the car are great and the dashboard it arranged nicely and everything is fairly self explanatory to use. It has better handling then I originally thought it would. The car gets surprisingly good gas mileage despite having a smaller tank. No major issues at 56,000 miles with this car as of yet.
Cons
The car accelerates very poorly and has bad top end speed if that is a concern of yours. Parts are more expensive to purchase as compared to other brands. A bit suspect in the snow not terrible but I expected better performance considering the type of car it is. Although the interior is spacious the trunk space is a bit smaller then desired.

On the exterior the vehicle doesn't look bad. I actually think the black paint with alloy wheels appears pretty sharp. The interior is nothing special. Rather plain. I personally have the cloth seats, which are moderately comfortable for the long hours I spend driving daily. Fuel economy is alright, but for a daily city driver it leaves a little more to be desired. Biggest complaint overall is with clutch and transmission issues. I drive the 5 speed manual. As of now I'm on my 3rd clutch and 2nd transmission after only 50k miles. Several electrical problems have also arose that I have yet to attend to. Interior lights flicker on occasion. I have yet to diagnose this problem, but I'm guessing it might be a bad door closed switch. As far as quality of drive, road noise is a problem with ... (more)
Story
I've used this vehicle for approximately the last 2 years to deliver food, medical supplies, packages, etc. I've put a lot of miles on this vehicle and in turn it has made me quite a bit of money. I spend more time in this car than I think I spend in my house. It's truly my moving office. It's been a complete money pit the entire time I've owned it and countless mechanical parts have broken an... (more)
Pros
Fuel economy isn't too bad for vehicles in its class. Lots of space for cargo. Capabilities to add a roof rack. 4WD gets you just about everywhere you need to go. No signs of rust on body. Black paint job still looks rather sharp. No frills interior. Ground clearance is nice. Folding seats adds even more space. Engine runs without problems. It's a Jeep. That's enough for some people. Convenient spare tire compartment. Handy flashlight in the back! Cargo side compartment that perfectly fits a dozen of eggs from the grocery store. Can sleep in the back if you fold down all the seats!
Cons
Weird windshield angle/vantage point of the road. Clutch problems. Fuel economy could be slightly improved. Pro and a con! Poor dealership service. Poor warranty service. Leaking sunroof. Stereo doesn't receive most stations. Lots of hard to clean crevices. Extremely basic interior.

This is a great truck. It is dependable, gets good gas mileage, and gets you where you want to go. It is comfortable, and I feel safe in it. It is rugged and really tough. It gets me through the streets which are full of potholes right now. It's like a tank. It has a great four-wheel drive and really gets me through the snow. Because I was tight on budget but loved Jeeps, I bought this one. I couldn't afford any of the other Jeeps at the time. So for the price, it's a really good deal. The seats are really comfortable, which I like, plus I love the fact that you can put the seats down, and I can put groceries or go to Home Depot for remodeling and put everything back there. I can highly recommend the Jeep Patriot. It's pretty fast, and when I step on the gas pedal, it's rearing to go. ... (more)
Story
Driving it while four wheeling on the back road country really was fun. It was fun driving it in the back roads where my fiancé hunts. It really was a fun time to do that. The mud was unbelievable. We got mud all over the Jeep and so had to wash it all off. The Patriot offers two four-wheel drive systems which was available for my model and behaved well on the rough roads. It was ideal for fou... (more)
Pros
It is comfortable, safe, gets you to where you want it to go, great in the wintertime, gets you through the snow, and reliable.
Cons
Cabin noise. The cabin noise is terrible! It really hurts your eardrums. Especially when you have all the windows open.
