2005 Jeep Wrangler - Good investment and durable vehicle
This Jeep is a comfortable and dependable vehicle. I like that the Jeep feels like a truck when sitting behind the wheel, but is short enough to make a U-turn on a single lane road. It has enough power to drive on the interstate, with four wheel drive it can take snowy, wet, or muddy roads with ease. The top and windows can be easily removed. I've accumulated 209,000 miles and still feel comfortable enough to drive cross country in it.
Story
Once during winter at dusk during black ice conditions, the vehicle spun around and turned over on its side in the ditch. No one was injured, the tow truck turned us back over, then we started it up and drove away!
Pros
This has been a very dependable vehicle. After 209,000 miles, it still runs like new. The four wheel drive ability allows off road use. The tops and windows can all be removed or lowered by one person. The back seat can be removed and replaced by one person. With the back seat out, there is plenty of cargo space. Securing personal items in a safe place is almost impossible without additional after-market equipment.
2005 Jeep Wrangler - Offroad
I very much like the way the vehicle looks. I bought a red jeep and it gets a lot of looks when I am driving around. The 2005 model actually looks better than the current model. It is great off road and towing behind the RV. It is very easy to work on and the parts are readily available. There are many parts available for accessorizing and to improve the performance. It is easy to get in and out of, it doesn't sit low to the ground. It has been very reliable. I have been driving off road for more than six years and it hasn't let me down once. It has also gotten me in and out of some difficult driving situations. I am a rock hound and the vehicle is a necessity to get some of the places I want to go. Great in mud, sand, and snow. My wife really appreciates the excellent air ... (more)
