2008 Jeep Wrangler OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Nothing Beats Jeep
I've always wanted a Jeep Wrangler and I fell in love with the Sahara series and knew I would have to have one some day. I ended up buying a very low mileage 2008 used Jeep Sahara and I couldn't have been more pleased. The Jeep is great for limited off road excursions, it has ample room to carry a lot of things and it gets relatively good mileage for being a Jeep. It's definitely not a plush interior or super smooth ride but as long as you know that going into it you will be more than happy with a Jeep purchase. I got mine with both a hard and a soft top. The soft top is great in the spring and summer because it is easy to remove and drive with the top down. The hard top is fine for the winter but it can still be a chilly ride at times and you will need to find some place to store the hard top in the spring if you have a soft top as well. Jeeps definitely hold up well and as long as you take care of it you should have a car that will last you some time, and they are pretty easy to maintain and work on unlike new cars.

Most fun Jeep.
I bought this car used from a private seller in 2016. It is a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. It is in such great condition, I get compliments on it all of the time. The previous owner used this vehicle as his "weekend car" and said that it was more fun to clean than drive. I get so many compliments on the deep red color and lots of surprised faces when I tell them how old it is. It has stood the test of time as the design looks modern and sturdy. I love the fact that my top is soft and can be taken off and on so easily. If it is a nice day out, it comes off and I feel great driving around. The car is not the most practical for long trips as the top is floppy and it makes a lot of noise when traveling at high speeds. The mileage is much lower compared to a smaller sedan, but is reasonable for the size of the car. It is also not ideal for trips as the suspension is very bouncy. I would not want to drive grandparents or a pregnant woman around town as complaints would definitely ensue.

Amazing car!
The Wrangler is still pretty spectacular off-road. That, unfortunately, makes it pretty rough on it. The current car is better than ever but don’t expect to make effortless trans-continental trips in this car, whether you’re in the two or four-door version. You’ll die of boredom. The Wrangler might have been improved beyond all recognition from the old car, but that’s like saying that this version is going to snap your spine more gently than the last. It bounces, it shimmies, it can go off-road. And stay there. The more sensible of the very un-sensible people likely to buy a Wrangler will go for the 2.8-litre four-pot diesel, which produces 197 bhp. It’s not the most refined, but the torque - 339lb ft. of it - is ideal for off-roading. Unsurprisingly. There’s a 3.6-litre V6 too, but that’s best left well alone.
