This car is definitely worth what I paid, and I will be buying another newer model when the time comes. I bought the 2005 midway in 2004. It was definitely a purchase I was scared of at first, and I bought a few of the packages. I really love how when the car is running you can barely hear it. It's going on 10+ years of owning it, but it still runs relatively quiet. The quality of the car is unlike any other I've ever experienced, and the amount of thought they put into designing and engineering the car boggles me. It's little things, like an incident when I had the brakes done (after warranty). They also replaced my windshield wipers and didn't put them on right. If this was another car, the whole windshield wiper fixture would have had to be replaced (yes, I had that happen befo... (more)
Story
When I first got the car, I went to get it washed at one of those robot washers. For whatever reason, my wife thought she could open the sun/moon roof while it was being washed. Long story short—what an expensive nightmare.
Pros
Well put together. Quality. I run my cars to the bone until I buy another. This one is still running great 10+ years later. Love the camera system. Durable.
Cons
Expensive components (i.e. tires are about $200 a piece to replace). Not very many cup holders. When the battery gets disconnected, the windows have to go through some kind of preset up (you hold down the buttons in the back and then press the one up front). If this is not done, you cannot operate the front controls to control the other windows. Petty, I know, but it's annoying when you need it.

I purchased my 2005 Lexus RX 330 used from a reputable dealership. It had 36k miles, and I told myself that I'd keep it until at least 250k miles. It now has 186k miles, and it's still humming along. I really like the comfort, style and performance of my small SUV. It is great on gas mileage even though it's 13 years old. One of the flaws I found with my vehicle is the CD player would jam quite often. Because it's no longer under warranty, I decided not to bother getting it fixed. I like that Lexus still manufactures even the newer RX 330 models with a CD player. Many cars nowadays do not have a CD player but mp3 connection only.
Story
One weekend, seven friends and I piled in my 5-passenger SUV and drove up to San Francisco. Looking back, it wasn't the best decision, but it was surely fun filled.
Pros
The pros of owning my vehicle are gas mileage, style and comfort. I like that the rear seats lay flat so that I can put my bike inside of my car in one full piece versus removing the front tire. I also love that the front passenger seats have individual arm rests.
Cons
The negatives of owning this vehicle are very faint. If I had to choose one thing, it'd the lack of cubby hole space inside the vehicle. There's no secret hiding spot for money, change or lug nuts.
