Overall I would say that I am happy with my 2001 Mazda 626. I have had it for several years now and the maintenance and repair costs have been fairly low considering how much I've driven it. The car has served me well and has almost 100,000 miles on it.
Story
The vehicle was my first car, I made many trips from my hometown to college in it.
Pros
Some of the best things about the car are the spacious interior and comfortable seats. The car has also handled high mileage well and has made many highway trips taking me to and from college. The outside is also aesthetically pleasing and it is a nice car to look at. Even after 12+ years of use, the car still accelerates well and has a strong engine for how old it is.
Cons
The potential draw backs of the car are first that it takes silver grade gasoline, so it usually costs about 10 cents more per gallon to fill up the gas tank. It also rides low to the ground and I've had the bottom scrap the ground before going down some extremely steep declines. This can also cause a problem in the winter with it running in to snow drifts, etc.

2001 Mazda 626 - Pretty dependable and gets decent mileage.

I've owned this car for a few years now after getting it used. It's suited me just fine since I have to do a lot of driving for my job. It feels like just about the most generic car out there, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I've rarely had to get it serviced outside of regular stuff like oil changes. MPG has been pretty decent though it seems to be declining as the years go by.
Story
I use this car mainly for work, so not a lot of particularly "fun" memories!
Pros
A very reliable car, there's nothing too flashy about it. But that's fine, it gives me everything I need out of a vehicle. It holds together, gets acceptable MPG and just generally presents few problems. Handles well and has a good suspension system.
Cons
The most noticeable problem I get compared to other cars I've owned is a persistent issue with blowing fuses. I've had to replace many fuses over the years and nobody seems to know why. The brakes can also be a little softer than expected.
