The looks of the RX-8 are amazing. They have people staring all the time. I don't know how many times I have had people comment on the car and how it looks and sounds. The car is also very comfortable. It keeps the driver engaged with multifunctional seating and lumbar support as well as a sporty steering wheel to make the car's over-the-top amazing handling all that much better. The build quality of the RX-8 is rather good. The engines are peppy in mid range temperatures and like to hit high screaming RPM's quickly and efficiently when needed.
Story
My most fun memorable moment is first taking this card to a drag track. It allows me to really test the engine. Have i mentioned that this card DOES NOT over rev? It has a really high RPM
Pros
This car is very cheap, because people underestimate the rotary engine and the whole car really. You can pick these up for good prices. It's a very very stylish car with a great interior. This is very very fast. It comes with about 220HP factory.
Cons
It gets low gas mileage of approximately 14mpg street, 20 mpg for highway. Not a big trunk- the trunk is nice for groceries in there, but it's not good for packing stuff for camping trips. Maintenance - it requires a slight bit more maintenance than other cars, and you don't have the privilege of waiting on anything. Like Hondas, if you skip an oil change, it might really mess up an RX-8.

I love the look of the Mazda RX8. I fell in love with the look of the car the first time I saw it. This is actually my second RX8. When the engine is functioning correctly, it's a great and fun (and fast) car to drive. It turns heads, too. But unfortunately, the rotary engine is prone to dying (the seals blow). I had to have the engine replaced on my first RX8 because it died (thankfully within the warranty for the engine). I bought another after Hurricane Sandy smashed mine with a tree. The second RX8 I chose a 2007, as it was said they had changed things so the engine was much less likely to die due to broken seals. Unfortunately, I found that not to be the case, and had to have the engine replaced at just under the warranty (thank goodness). This car also needs 4 ignition coil packs... (more)
Story
I have an urban road that is very straight, about a mile long, that I have to drive on every day to get to and from my house. It's a lot of fun to redline on that road and blow the carbon out of the engine. : )
Pros
I love the look of the vehicle. When it's running well, it's a ton of fun to drive. It's nice to be able to switch between automatic and manual as well. I love the leather interior, the heated seats, and the sound system. I love the moonroof.
Cons
Eats too much gas and only takes premium gas, needs too much maintenance, engine failure is common, very low to the ground so hard to get in and out of, eats oil like it's breakfast

The RX-8 is just as fun as you have heard! It is a great car to drive! The RX-7 has been known to be a great car to drive. However, the RX-8 has several improvements that make it even better. There are some known balance issues with the RX-7, in that the back tires have been known to spin and the car can fishtail at times. However, these things are improved with the RX-8. There is great balance between the front and back of the car. This also makes it easier on hills as the car does not roll as other unbalanced cars do. I also really enjoy the interior. The red lighting inside gives the car a mysterious interior. The seats are incredibly comfortable and the seats hug you as you sit. The back seats have the same bucket seat style and, therefore, are comfortable for everyone. One dislike... (more)
Story
RX-8 owners are their own group. Most RX-8 owners are very friendly toward each other and will wave/honk at each other last they pass.
Pros
Seats are extremely comfortable fun to drive improvement on the balance of the car from the RX-7
Cons
Trunk is fairly small Truck has the weird recessed area no spare tire area the back seats don't fold down for the trunk.
